I’ll take 5 of those please.  What a quote

Do I like the quote? Absolutely. 100% love his attitude.

On the other hand , although he said the “right thing” his words don’t mean much to me as he averaged 6.8 points last year and a couple of the 2023 NBA draft projections I looked at don’t have him as a 1st or 2nd rounder.
Who knows, but I have a guess, what his take would have been if he had been a sure fire lotto pick last year?  I’d bet he would have said “bye bye” to UCONN.

EDIT: I just saw another draft site that is projecting him to go in the 2023 second round as the 55th pick. Far cry from having to pass up draft lottery cash but just updating that one of the services does have him in the second.

I guess this is the de facto ranting place?

Something that makes you go hmmm..."The Journey" commercial
Trayce mentions something about this being his last year before having to grow up
Edey mentions something about becoming the best player he can be

I get that these are just small snippets of the entire episode they pull for the commercial. However, it's interesting to get a little of their thoughts and to see what portion they chose to air for a commercial for each individual.

unless your an elite team your team is going to have ups and downs.

Well…this team was picked to win the B1G. People were discussing top 4 seeds. As recently as  after the loss to Iowa the reasonable posters were predicting we’d win all our home games and beat Minnesota on the road.

This team is playing awful and managed to fall short of the pretty modest markers  set by even the optimists.

That’s my perspective post, anyways.

Right now, Penn State, at least until the team shows a pulse again.

Iowa 2nd half bet was the easiest money I’ll make all year. It’s actually one of their bets where you still feel stops when it’s over because you know you should’ve bet more.

Somebody had to be picked to win in the preseason.  With what the other B1G teams lost and what IU was bringing back that made sense at the time.   Before Johnson went down they were tracking as a top 4 seed.    For myself I thought they would compete for a B1G title when fully healthy but now that that is off the table I still think they could and should finish 2-7 range which would be better then the program has done in along time

Problem is it's just two guys right now playing at a high level.  One guy getting there.  Two guys playing at his max potential.  And the rest who look completely lost.  So bad, it's almost as if we'd be better playing a man or two down at times.

I’d love to see the IUBB ATS numbers for the past 5 years. It’s got to be awful, right?

Anti Indiana basketball would be a money maker. Find a team that the fans love and bet on but aren’t as good as they think. =win money =IU basketball

Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners

Since 2017   IU is 88-85-2 ATS

Yea, XJ injury is hurting a little more than we’d hoped. I’ll be disappointed if it takes nearly out of the tourney because I’m not sure it should.
