Several months until next football season.  IU football always holding its breath and operates from hope.  J. Lucas will definitely stay like all the other best recruits and best players players unless Oklahoma or another pretty high level prominent football program asks him “do you want to return punts and/or kickoffs for us and work into our offensive system.

Purdue goes way of IU hiring a defensive coordinator.  That will be interesting how that works out comparing it to IU hire of defensive coordinator.

Right... We know why he went there, money. But there is no way there wasn't another school who is ready to compete for national title that was ready to hand over some money. Oklahoma, ain't in that elite company anymore and I don't believe that coach will be at Oklahoma very long.

Personally, I think if we had tossed in "Wings for Life" from Buffalouies, we could have moved the needle for him to stay. Maybe even an Eastside 'Chicken Corner' "Gold Member / VIP" card, for unlimited Chick Fil-A, Joella's and KFC...IU NIL if you are listening, this is free advice.

Hopefully we tried to name a Burger after him at one of our restaurants. I actually still miss the 'Tom Crean and Crimson' burger from Opie Taylors.

Indiana was his only offer from a Power 5 conference. I would not classify this as a strong get. Offer list includes East Carolina, Charlotte, New Mexico State, Norfolk State, and Western Carolina.
