It wasn't specified exactly how they struggled but since the article was talking about trying to pressure the ball without fouling, probably that. They have a little more than a month to get it figured out.

Imagine you’re certainly  right on the perimeter ball pressure being the issue. The most undervalued trait in scouting kids, at least to me, is lateral movement and change of direction. All the high ball screen actions, all the zoom derivatives, if you can’t move laterally and maintain hand discipline they will hunt you and you are screwed.

Not like we don’t know it, but DDV really is just the anti-Woodson. It’s like he asks Scott what Woody would have done or said in a situation and consciously does the most antithetical thing he can think of.

That’s been my thought for a while with this roster. Hopefully the shooting holds up.

Sisley compliments are awesome for him. Not sure it’s awesome for our roster, in the sense that other guys aren’t much better at this point. I love Sisley though, feels like he could project like Tucker D.

Hoping and rooting for the best.

Not too concerned about defense this early. A common criticism of Dusty May's team last fall was that they couldn't guard their shadows. They ended the season with the #12 Kenpom D.

Even with sub optimal athletic talent you should be above those bad Fran and crean teams with competent coaching. I hope we don’t see that. It would be troubling to be 100ish or worse in D-eff

I don't know how this event goes, but it will be something different and interesting.  Looking at where the court is, there are probably some prime viewing spots at Upstairs...
