Xavier Arrested...

Everyone has sped, but this isn't just speeding so let's stop acting like he was going 40 in a 30.  I think the highest speed limit on Walnut is 40 and he was going 90, then tried to get away, then actively tried to avoid responsibility.  That series of progressively worse decision making would get him a few game suspension from me for a first incident but it isn't.  If he stayed on the team he'd be on at least his 3rd chance at IU.

He's a 5th year senior, we should expect him to be smarter than this and setting better examples.  Obviously he isn't.  At some point enough has to be enough and a message sent.

RMK once said something about butt meeting bench and sending a message to the brain, clearly not with Xavier Johnson though.

What was Knight's take on putting his hands on players repeatedly, rape victims, or just the overall treatment of people?

I loved RMK as a GREAT basketball coach, but let's not crown him as the Holy one!

Knight quote about disciplining players that make dumb decisions... leads to the worst of Knight and crowning him the holy one?

Whaaaaaat? How does that make sense?

"If rape is inevitable, relax and enjoy it"

But, at least he won 3 nattys while at IU!

Because, as we all know, winning is all that matters.

Don't discipline current players because a previous coach did and said some horrible things?

I think I'm starting to figure it out.

Try to keep up here! Someone quoted RMK on discipline,  and 2nd & 3rd chances. If you can put your sarcasm(and E&E)aside for a minute,  please show me where I said players should not be disciplined.

You felt I was smart enough to figure it out. I was trying to understand how a Knight quote about butt -> bench -> brain led to putting hands on players, rape, and overall treatment of people. Please show me where I said you said players should not be disciplined.

Don't discipline current players because a previous coach did and said some horrible things? Literally, your last post! lol

A man preaching about discipline and character, when he has many instances of questionable behavior, should not be too hard to understand. Rocks-Glass house scenario.

Question mark - asking, are you implying players shouldn't be disciplined due to words and actions of a previous coach. Literally, my last post.

I believe the quote was used because of its applicability in the context of punishment. There was zero evidence the poster claimed Knight was the holy one.

Should Woody not have disciplined the players for smoking pot because he smoked pot? (question mark again, it's meant to ask a question)

Your word salads are hysterical! Talking down, with hypothetical questions, is par for course.

Who smoked pot? I haven't seen that written anywhere? Why did they not have to sit 3 games? NCAA rules say any failed drug test is an automatic 3 game suspension.

I was asking questions to clarify what you meant as you were the one mentioning Knight being crowned the holy one (nobody stated this or implied this before), me being a smart man/woman, and trying to keep up. I guess I could have just assumed but we know what that gets us. Your interpretation of the text in my posts was me talking down. They are legit questions trying to figure out how we jumped from applicable punishment to the holy one.

I believe the quote from Knight is excellent and applicable in many cases. Does that make me believe Knight is the holy one or that he did nothing wrong? (How does that make sense?) These are legit questions. If you don't feel you can properly explain then please leave it.

My initial thought that he would be removed from the team I would say was likely incorrect.  I think if that was going to happen there would have been a quick statement from the University and/or X saying that the department and X had 'mutually decided' that it was both their best interests that X seek a better fit elsewhere.  I would say the longer it goes, the more likely it is the punishment will simply be handled in house and he will be returning.  Kind of my same thought on both Trayce and Race's decisions......the longer a decision isn't given out, the better the chances are of them staying.

Is that actually the NCAA rules? I thought NCAA drug testing was only conducted during tournaments. I thought member schools had to create a drug testing program within NCAA guidelines and responsible for administering that program (what Syracuse got in trouble for several years ago). Also, I didn't think first offenses were 3 game suspensions.

Also, does the staff carry drug tests on the road?

(these are legit questions in case you felt I was talking down to you I get that text might be difficult to determine that)
