Hopefully we will pickup a couple in tbe transfer portal.  I have not seen enough from JG to just put him in the starting lineup unless he developed over the summer lime Johnnie Davis had.  Also need a backup PG for the second unit.

Yes transfer portal for a knock down shooter, Ziesloft, Hartman, Roth type, Lander backing up. Lander is the only one I’m worried about transferring.

Anthony Leal is turning into the guy that Woody can put in the game when things are getting weird and trust to not do stupid ****.

I like having a guy like that on the team--it's a great piece to have on a top 25 team down the road.

In the @ OSU game thread I said he wasn’t quite ready and the OSU game was proof that those calling for more time were wrong. I agree with you that he’s at least going to make the right call.

And yes: what he can ultimately be isn’t flashy, but if he’s a low TO%, high 3 pt%, ball mover, good team defender? You can’t have enough of those around flashier guys.

How about a lineup next year of X, JHS, Galloway, Geronimo, Race.

Bates, Leal, Gunn, & Banks, Duncomb 2nd team. I’m sure I’m missing some.

Race could be back? I know he has eligibility but I thought the plan was to move on with life.

I think Race will be back for 2 reasons:

1) He’s really improved under CMW’s system which has allowed him to have more freedom and fun

2) He had aspirations of getting to the next level and he may think that another year under CMW’s system might just get him there.

That lineup… doesn’t inspire confidence in me. There’s no shooting in the starting lineup but there’s also no size. Barring major improvements from a number of those players, I see that team being a fair amount worse than this one.

Are we projecting tremendous growth from those players? Are you hoping that our system completely changes from year 1 to year 2? That lineup lacks size, shooting, and rebounding. Do we go full chaos creating a lot of turnovers and get out in transition? I don't see that lineup having a great conference record.

More realistic?

Phin, JHS, Bates, Jordan G, portal 6’10” guy.

Guessing the others are more likely gone.

By the way, that lineup shoots better, rebounds better, and is longer.

That lineup makes me feel even worse… unless the 6’10 portal guy is Kevin Durant. Phinisee shoots 29.6% from 3, Bates shoots 27.8%, Geronimo shoots 30%, and JHS, at least according to an article from January, is shooting 28%..

Seems like we’re going to be relying on guys making huge improvements instead of bringing in talent, which doesn’t make me feel great. Losing both Race and Trayce would be absolutely brutal.

Pack would be incredible.

Who are Roddy and Ike? David Roddy? If there’s an IU connection there that’s be crazy good.

Awesome players that play on Colorado St and Wyoming.   Trying to find some combinations that people won’t think are trash

Haven't seen that much of Ike but he would definitely be a piece. How would he translate to the Big 1.o play? If we're going that route I believe we'll need to increase pace and space.

Lol.

I wonder if Nijel Pack is tired of Brucie and losing, and wants to come home. Not a ridiculous (unfounded) rumor to think about.

That kid shoulda been a Hoosier.

He is a really good post player.  He would be good in any league

Crazy day of hoops     Delivering losses to  top 10 teams

Day is still crazy.   Oregon hits a 3 to go up 2 and usc just buried a 3 to go up 1 with 11 sec to go
