Can anybody enlighten me on what the actual game plan was? On offense, I haven't noticed one change in the offensive sets for ¾ of the season now. We're running the same predictable stuff that we did in the early part of the season.

I hate to say this, cause I REALLY want to support Woodson, but I think he's too accustomed to loosing in the pros. And he doesn't seem to have the fire in the belly like Izzo, Peikle, crazy McCaffery, and others in the league, not to mention Auburn, Kansas,  et al.

We don’t have the proper talent but we’re good enough to be in the tourney. I just don’t see that happening now. I don’t really care who agrees or not but Woodson isn’t the guy. He just isn’t. Red flags all over the place with his coaching decisions and philosophy. I’ve never come to a conclusion on a coach this quick but I’ll be shocked if we ever do anything under his lead.
Hoping your wrong but definitely not arguing. Red flags all over the place and we aren't where we

Good thinking.  He'll be some of the faces, but I have other enemies too.  I know a lot of punchable faces unfortunately

Your buddies that went with you to the Tool concert can’t be that bad.

Kinda feels that way.  He’s going to need to make a big splash in recruiting or transfer portal and even then I’m not sure.  Plus, he’s always had age working against him.  We are getting to the point of no return with coaching hires.

Trayce looks like he packs it in so often during crunch time or moments when we are down. Maybe I’m just being overly critical but his effort doesn’t jump out at you. Outside of maybe 2-3 players, I’m ready to see this entire roster blow up.

I’m afraid he is not a warrior with a sense of urgency for lack of a way to say “Go get that damn ball, get the hell open!”

I think he has the fire. He just doesn’t have the time and “know-how” to have a top 10 program in today’s environment.

I think we’re already past it. And when Woodson doesn’t work out I know we’ll be reluctant to get rid of him because he’s one of our own. Future is about as bright as a broken lightbulb.

He says all the right things - culture, discipline, accountability, etc., and he’s a former player, so fans really like him. I don’t even disagree with them. He seems like a very likable guy. But I agree with you completely. His in-game coaching this year has left so much to be desired. He’s not a good enough coach to win without elite talent, and he’s not recruiting at a high enough level.

We may be past that point.  Woodson was a great player at IU but that was about the only thing he had going for him; NBA teams weren't knocking down his door to give him another head coaching chance and no other college program would've looked at him.

Yup. I tried to be positive at first and was coming around to the hire but I just feel it in my gut that this isn’t it. And looking at another 4 years of crap is hard to come to terms with. This program is a has been and always will be.

His coaching in the second half against Illinois was a huge warning. Why he thought Trayce could defend Kofi straight up is beyond me

Just being honest, if I’m Race and I’m going to spend another year in college…I’m transferring to a school with a high likelihood and history of making the tournament. To give another year of this effort and fall short, no thanks.

You're such a non-fan. Dude brings it, gives a lot of e and e. Wish he would find that jumper and go make a lot of money.

His stubbornness is a huge issue. When things are clearly not working he’s so hesitant to change them up.

Indiana has lost some of the allure we once had as a coaching destination. Since Knight, they have basically struck out with every hire....maybe they need to hire someone that actually knows how to find coaching talent? Other schools find great coaches, even a blind squirrel finds a nut every once and while...

A lot of players need to be gone after this season. Need some upgrades.

Another annual Hoosier activity as we try to stay on the right side of the bubble. We got some "shooters" and now they can't shoot. We worked on free throws and still can't make. Maybe we should look into why this is happening instead of cycling through players. Lots of fantastic coaches being paid for by the university and we still can't figure this out. Shocking.

I'm not sure the administration has wanted to get the hire right.
