Good to see IU doing it as well. Got to win the game of course This really is a badass noncon -- X, UNC, AZ, KU, to go with Miami (Ohio) and the balance of the schedule. Certainly won't hear people complaining about a weak noncon this year. Now the guys have the chance to step up and make some real noise before the season even starts. Love it. Quote

go iu bb Posted July 1, 2022 Posted July 1, 2022 What I really like about this schedule is that they give themselves plenty of time before each of the big games to rest and prepare. Xavier: 8 days UNC: 5 days Arizona: 10 days Kansas: 7 days Then all cupcake games are on shorter turn times so they get to practice playing with less rest/prep time against easier teams. I'd love it if they dropped one of the games in after the 17th (KS game). But we'll likely see one between UNC 11/30 and AZ 12/10, and one between AZ and KS (12/17).... Sigh lol And here's to hoping one or both early B10 games include Nebraska, MN, and/or NW. Quote

Give me Illinois on the road and Michigan or MSU at home hoosierbgh 1 Quote

We have 3 huge games (UNC, AZ, Kansas). We could lose all three and it wouldn't shock many. I don't think we will, but it's not far fetched. So what I don't want to happen, is we have two tough B10 foes mixed in early. I don't care about getting good teams early when we're in that 3 game stretch. I just want games that are considered likely wins, and I don't want a 5 game death spiral of opponents lol. Quote

A middle ground. I want to catch Illinois early. Before SC has time to get used to college and before the teams have time to gel. Southside 1 Quote

We've bitten off a lot with preseason blue bloods. I'd just prefer not to play one of the top 5 or 6 teams. Give me the bottom 8. I think IL will be better early than most think. But if we did play IL early, and win, I'd be very happy lol. My preference in red lol. Big Ten opponents Home: Nebraska, Ohio State, Wisconsin Away: Maryland, Minnesota, Penn State Home/Away: Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Michigan State, Northwestern, Purdue, Rutgers Quote

And they account for 2 of the 19 home games in the season ticket package. Face value for theses games is the same $54 as for the North Carolina, Illinois,, Michigan, Purdue, Michigan State and all other B10 games. Not really sure what point, if any, I am making. It just seems wacky on the surface. HoosierHoopster 1 Quote
