This sucks. That’s all I’ve got

Ah the sun will come out tomorrow. not sure where yardens going, but if she wants a championship she’s going to be in the role she was her freshman year here as purely a role player. Kind of a system player. Tall but too weak and scrawny to really be a post player, and too slow, gangly to play the other positions. Has some tricky moves that awe you sometimes, good with her hands, but her feet do not do her any favors. Overall great at spot up from 3 but if you want to get down to it her shooting form is god awful and has a really slow release there too. Can do some cool short fadeaways sometimes.

Anyone claiming Yarden's shooting form is "God awful" should be forced to include a clip of themself shooting a three pointer in a college game.

lol oh stop it. If you watch her shooting form and think that’s something that’s good, then to quote Bobby, you just don’t know basketball. It goes in. But if that’s a pure looking shot I must be Ray Charles.

IU Record setting 3-point scorer, clearly a major part of what we thought was the returning core. Yes, the sun will come up tomorrow, and yes she’s a big loss leaving a major missing piece. And a shame, but today’s portal world changed the way we used to follow our teams’ players.

It’s a damn shame. But if they want to bolt however they see fit, I’ll criticize. I didn’t need to buy season tickets only knowing I could attend half of the games, nor did I need to go to many second hand last few years at twice the price. Yarden was a day one starter, did a lot of cool stuff for us. Also turned it over a crap ton, disappeared a lot, she’s still not even a Scalia skill level, who was a portal pick up. I’d say she’s not a Parrish talent, but she was kind of a shelf this year of herself. Injuries, something. Iu has no reporting and moren wont say anything. If you want to get yarden an open 3 it has a good chance to go in. If the defense decides to guard her it might be a turn over or air ball 3. Truly yardens best year was her freshman year when Mack and the gang gave her the open looks

This coming year will be interesting, because it will be a completely new look. Last year was sort of "more of the same", but at a lower level than the year before.

Depending on the portal, we can be "average", "good", or "really good"--but at least it will be different. And we can also see some new players develop.

Makes perfect sense for her as title contender and one of few schools with larger Jewish and Israeli Community then IU. Also, could be a nonstop flight away to Dulles on United from Israel if they end up resuming that service soon as has been talked about making it even easier for her family to come see her play a few times.

I am very sorry to see her go, but from a standpoint for her, this is everything she wanted with ability to chase a title, an NIL bump (which IU could have likely matched if she were willing to return) and an even larger Jewish community then IU.

I wish her nothing but the best as IU goes through rebuild as they try to obtain more NIL and Moren is finally willing to work towards.

All IU fans must feel a bit bewildered that Garzon can be so clueless and/or ruthless to go to a big rival. However, the main victim would be CTM, who always wanted to elevate Garzon into the next Michael Jordan or something. Garzon was a good passer and 3-point shooter (obviously), but CTM had a vision of her posting up, and going to the hoop, etc., which frequently seemed to have little relationship with reality.

Brenda F. and Maryland will benefit…where T. Moren made it more of a focal point….Brenda F. and Maryland will not but maybe a special play or only when Garzon wants or decides to more or less on her own because Maryland has talent around her and it’s not necessary (it’s called recruiting success).  So Brenda F. and Maryland can thank T. Moren for that part of her game when Garzon does use it.
However, Garzon now will be able to be more comfortable and confident with her outside game that she loves without pressure to do those things which T. Moren tried to force upon her out of necessity (due to lack of recruiting enough high level talent).

I actually argued on here a year and a half ago about T. Moren wanting Garzon to post up inside more and develop inside game along with outside game but whoever it was said I didn’t know what I was talking about.
