iubb Posted November 20, 2021 Posted November 20, 2021 Michael Penix Jr., a redshirt junior who technically has two years of eligibility left, is lining up for Senior Day ceremonies. So there's one worth noting. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote

RaceToTheTop Posted November 20, 2021 Posted November 20, 2021 I kind of wonder if he might just be calling it a career. Alford Bailey 1 Quote
Josh Posted November 20, 2021 Posted November 20, 2021 Surprising for sure. Thank you Michael for some IU football memories that will last forever IUc2016 1 Quote

Loaded Chicken Sandwich Posted November 20, 2021 Posted November 20, 2021 Good. It's time for him to move on. Really move on from football completely. Kinda like Zander ended up doing. Quote
Hovadipo Posted November 20, 2021 Posted November 20, 2021 This doesn’t mean he’s 100% gone, for the record. They can participate and still come back. Call it taking a provisional. CS2 and Rico 2 Quote

CS2 Posted November 21, 2021 Posted November 21, 2021 It may be best for Mike to focus on finishing his degree and preparing for his career outside of Football. His is a tragic story (relative of course) for a young promising athlete. All indications are that he is a good person and a smart guy. He can score with that. A decision he and his family need to make. IUc2016 1 Quote

Agreed. If you can’t stay healthy in college, the chances of you staying healthy in the pros where the physicality is even higher are pretty low. Quote
Rico Posted November 21, 2021 Posted November 21, 2021 Anybody have any idea if Mike is on track for his degree? Quote
