Hopefully both work on their outside shots. Wonder if Mrs. Newton knows something about Carr or is she just doing some recruiting. With Newton it looks like he has a  pretty good outside shot and the highlights I see he hit a lot of 3's.

Jakai's season ended yesterday in a 75-72 state semifinal loss to Norcross.  Only stat I've found for Jakai is this comment from a newspaper account:  Jakai Newton and Stephon Castle combining to score 31 points for the Rams.

I never found a consistent source for his game-by-game stats but this is what I have.

• 21 games:  14.3 ppg
• 20 games:  5.6 rpg
• 17 games 1.8 apg
• 17 games 1.6 steals
• 16 games:  .6 blocks
• 15 games:  1.9 TOs

Agreed, and while we hang onto the bubble by a thread, while we wait to see what next year’s roster looks like, it’s worth saying that they players committed already in the next two classes are a foundation worth being optimistic about right now.
