21-22 Men’s IUBB Schedule

Revisiting our upcoming B1G schedule

Single-plays:

  • Michigan
  • MSU
  • Illinois
  • Northwestern
  • Rutgers
  • Iowa

Double plays:

  • Minnesota
  • Nebraska
  • Purdoo
  • Penn St
  • Maryland
  • Ohio State
  • Wisconsin

Missing out on a Rutgers double and Wisconsin's overachievement are the only negatives so far

Missing a double with a good Iowa team and a decent NW team, and doubles against Minny, PSU, and Nebraska still seem like very good news.

I want a sweep of Wiscy. Man I really, really can't stand that program. It's time to stick it to the cheese heads.

No change in tipoff time but will be televised on BTN and not FS1 as originally scheduled.

I wonder what displaced it on FS1

Now that the season has settled in a bit our schedule does not look as daunting, especially after that big win.

Michigan

Penn St

@Maryland

Illinois

@Northwestern

@Mich St

Wisconsin

@Ohio St

Maryland

@Minnesota

Rutgers

@Purdue

We could legitimately go undefeated at home with Illinois and Wisky being the biggest hurdles.  Could we split the road games?  Even 2-4 on the road and unscathed at home would be a very nice big ten season.

I see no reason IU can’t be 14-6. Win all the home games and beat Maryland, Northwestern and Minnesota on the road. Pretty attainable

I see no reason we cannot be 11-9 or even 12-8 in conference.

Anything more would be extraordinary and a bit of wishful thinking IMO.

I am optimistic as well. BUT I just go back to the fact that IU has not had a 3 game winning streak in the Big Ten in three years. That's absurd, but just where IU is. So, I can't predict any win streaks until IU proves it.

I am way more optimistic after last night though!

Let's start by taking care of business against meatchicken on Sunday. Please, no letdown in the energy department for this game. Consistent energy, effort, and smart play will take care of the wins and build for the rest of the season. This team can compete with any in the conference but can also lose to any in the conference. We've overcome some demons the last few games but need to continue to build. I full 40, balanced attack on Sunday would be the next stepping stone.

I can't help but get greedy now after picking up a road win, and handling the #4 team in the country largely without our best player.

We could legit win our next 5. Even 3-2 wouldn't be the worst thing since we have a pretty easy home schedule after Wisconsin.

Nothing is a given though. Let's kick Michigan's @$$ and be ranked on Monday!

Absolutely. Lay an egg against Michigan and that Purdue win means nothing in the grand scheme of things. Have to take advantage of the opportunity

We're now 5th in Conference, and 5-3. The W over PU vaulted us over them, and Rutgers dropped with their L.

MSU 6-1

Wisc 6-2

Ill 6-2

OSU 5-2

IU 5-3 -- Moving on up

Crazy how close we are to the top of the league.  We need to hold serve at home and get at least two of these road games. 13-7 would be remarkable.

I’m very worried about tomorrow. How will these guys handle a massive win like that? Hopefully they turned the page real quick.

I think with it being Michigan, that had a great season last year, high expectations this year and an 8 game winning streak against us, that we will be more ready after a big win, than if they were Penn State, Nebraska etc type team.
