Just to be transparent...I really wanted to believe in CAM and believed he could succeed here until about 2 weeks ago. I think the Rutgers game was the straw that broke the proverbial camels back for me. I saw IUs chances of making the NCAA tourney crashing down. I am now of the opinion that a change is needed. My top (somewhat) realistic candidates:
1. Brad Stevens ( I know...extreme long shot but hey, I can dream)
2. Chris Beard
3. Scott Drew
4. Chris Mack (if the rumors are true he has expressed interest...which I am doubtful he would jump ship from Louisville)
5. Musselman (more of a risk than I would prefer but I think he could be good)
I am a little leery of Matta's health and Beilen's age
Go Hoosiers!

Pretty much on par with the majority here. Some different names out there that are at the very least intriguing but your names are the big one's we've all been tossing and kicking.

I honestly think that Matta, Beliein, Drew, Musselman are all people that would take the job if offered and the pay was a raise. But before you get to those guys you have to make Brad say no multiple times. If we knocked on his door last time he didn't answer, I don't think that's been the case this time.

I remember when Dolson was hired, there were rumors that he was a pushover and he'd just hire Alford if we fired Archie. Does anyone know where those rumors came from or if there's any semblance of truth to them?

I am fairly confident Drew would take the job with a reasonable raise.

I think either Alford or Dolson one of them said on a podcast that they wouldn't want to put the other in that position since they're good friends. No one wants to fire their best friend. It makes things awkward

We're certainly a relatively small group as far as numbers go but I'll bet on the whole our collective views on candidates are a close match to the IU fanbase as a whole and Dolson would know that Alford would not be greeted with open arms by the masses despite his accomplishements as an IU player.

If there is indeed a shred of chance that Brad is interested and would come, would it be as soon as once this season is over, or would he be one we had to wait a year for? (I know we’ve said we’d be willing to wait for a guy like him, but didn’t know what would prevent him from not coming after this season)
