But Oats has won three conference tournaments to zero for Archie, this is going to be his third year winning his conference regular season vs. one plus a split for Archie, and team ranks in computer numbers heavily favor Oats.
Trish Posted March 1, 2021 Posted March 1, 2021 All this could be avoid if you guys would penny up your life savings and offer it to Brad Stevens including each of your possessions (cars, expensive fine jewelry, your homes) Take one for the team, guys!

Matta would have to show he is healthy. From what I've heard he has trouble sitting through the Butler games that he attends. Hell yeah let's go. That'd be awesome.

I think results wise, there is no argument to keep Archie. None. He is about to have a losing season in his 4th year. However, financially with buyout and covid, I don't see it happening.
Bowhunter Posted March 1, 2021 Posted March 1, 2021 I’ll donate $100 for Brad Stevens . I’m not an alum , but I want IU to be successful Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Trish and ALASKA HOOSIER 2

IMO I would have to see it and hear it from a doctor that Matta could go through practices, film sessions, road trips and games before I could pull the trigger. As I said he still attends Butler games because his daughter is a student there and has trouble getting to and from his seats. If I was a booster would I donate millions to get rid of Archie to hire Matta this year, probably not. Next year maybe NOLA Hoosier and IUc2016 2

Trish Posted March 1, 2021 Posted March 1, 2021 Archie will have the hottest seat in America heading into next season. Does he want that pressure along with his other coaching staff members? Maybe he walks. If we don't make the dance next year with Archie then his resume to get hired again isn't going to be very pretty. He might be hurting himself by staying a year longer honestly. finky 1

Sent from my Pixel 3a XL using Tapatalk I don't think so but I listen to enough people who do so I just listen to all info and share it. The administration was saying we don't have the money for a buyout to now not saying anything at all. So I think that has changed some. Knowing Scott as well as I do, he's going to do whatever he thinks is best for IU. No one cares about IU athletics more than Scott does. lillurk, Class of '66 Old Fart, thebigweave and 4 others 6 1

AKHoosier Posted March 1, 2021 Posted March 1, 2021 If Matta's health is still a problem for him, that should eliminate him from consideration. That led to his decline at OSU. If he has trouble walking around and sitting comfortably, basketball becomes your secondary priority at that point. I'd be all about hiring him if he had a clean bill of health though.

Trish Posted March 1, 2021 Posted March 1, 2021 I need a vote of confidence from Dolson about Archie. I don't know if I can take the waiting game all spring and summer LOL.
