@Chris007 You mentioned Dolson wanting this done by the 17th for portal purposes. Do you think the timeline changes if we make the NCAAs? I would be surprised to see us announce a new coach a couple days before a first round match up. But I could be wrong.

I'm assuming that if it's Brad, we'll hear within a couple days of being eliminated. If therels no announcement on Brad within 72 hours of the season ending, then we're probably hiring someone else.

Anyway, everything I have posted that I have heard today I could name 6 or 7 other people on here who have heard it too. I won't so they don't take the heat I do but they send me their rumors. Yes, it could be the echo chamber of IU but I know I don't have the same sources as RTZ and a few others. 

So yes we could be wrong but there is a reason we think what we do. I owned it 4 years ago, just like I will again. I have even said I don't believe it fully myself.

The Banta Road I'm (very) familiar with is in Marion County.  Center Grove is in Johnson County.  I think there's a town further south called Banta - maybe a different Banta Road?

I guarantee that a month after the new coach is announced, things will feel mighty dull around here.  It'll be conjecture on portal guys and incessant discussion on starting lineups.

I don’t know. We have reason to be excited about the spring game for the first time in forever. There will be football personnel moves. If the coach makes a big splash, it will invigorate the entire athletic department.

I know people like McDermott and if that's the move , I guess maybe i'll be happy.  I don't love age 60-61 starting the coaching tenure.  Sounds like a retirement payday situation to me.
