Hicks is a strange one.  6'7", can shoot some.  RAIL thin.  Don't expect to see him at the rim....like ever.

Definitely more a shooting threat. Was on my short list. It'll be interesting to see who Indiana is actually interested in with Ledlum, Timberlake and likely Knecht off the board. Raequan Battle would be one to look at I would think.

I wasn't a Hicks fan.  See a lot of MIller Kopp in him but even less ability to hit a mid range shot.  Raequan Battle is a guy who certainly is worth a look at guard as is Noah Reynolds.  And I think I've made my feelings clear on Quincy Guerrier as a wing.

Matthew Cleveland from FSU could be a wing option.  More of a slasher than shooter but looks more athletic than Ledlum.

I would guess Indiana will be interested in anyone who can put the ball in the hoop at this point. The current roster is going to have trouble scoring the ball unless there is some amazing player development that occurs over the summer. 

Where is the scoring going to come from? Last year, even with TJD, Kopp, JHS, etc... IU still went through pretty bad offensive stretches. They haven't added anyone in the portal yet who is a big time scorer and neither of their HS recruits were prolific scorers in HS. 

So again I ask, who is going to score the ball next year? I can't believe they can't find a player or two who want to come because the shots should be there for the taking.

What I have read about him he has 4 teams and UM and UNC might be the leaders

XJ and Reneau to start and I think Banks and Gunn will make a jump this year on production

Gunn is working on his shot, trying to get to 10% this coming season

I'm not sure taking a shot at a kid who was a freshman last year is helpful. He was a pretty good scorer in big boy basketball in high school. He plays hard and will get it figured out if given the chance. The great recruiting class that became the 93 and 94 teams took their lumps as freshmen. Gunn especially has all measureables that we want and is a great kid from a great family.

Gunn does not have all measurables we want. He didn’t play because he isn’t a good defender. When he did see the court he was a chucker and one of the worst percentages I can recall

He shot 8%, not much else to say about that other than he didn’t see a shot he didn’t like and that he had no business taking those

I saw him in high school and he was a very good shooter.  It is hard for shooters to shoot well on limited minutes

Not seeing the 'Gunn was a bad defender' argument.  He was okay, and for a freshman 'okay' has the potential to become good.  I get not 'counting on him' being a key contributor -- which is why we need to bring in a wing/guard.  But I also think discounting the possibility isn't something that should be done.  He's an option, nothing more, nothing less.  The bottom line is he stopped getting on the court because he couldn't hit shots.  But I'm not willing to just write him off at this point.
