Didn't notice it, but Ohio State's Justin Ahrens hit the portal yesterday.  6'6" wing, career 39% shooter from three.  Averaged a little of 5 ppg the past two seasons at Ohio State in a little under 20 mpg.

I like the opportunity for the player to improve his position, but the fact that the schools that already have infinitely more recruiting resources are now basically allowed to cherry pick players they missed on with NIL money just seems like a  soon to be realized end to the Cinderella teams. They are making the small schools like the D league.

I think the Cinderella teams continue. These St Peters kids are only leaving because their coach did. It is possible some kids make a great run and leave but we will still that Cinderella run before they leave. Other, smaller schools may benefit because a kid like Lander leaves us and blossoms in a smaller setting

Not interested, although there’s obviously something there to draw all that attention.

I'm not either.  We need shooting and he doesn't bring that.

He really isn't that good.  He was part of a nice story and looked different.  He wasn't (and has never been) named to the first, second, or third all conference team in the MAAC.

Nick Zeisloft didn't do much of anything before coming to Indiana. But he could shoot. Edert shot 41% from 3 this season and 89% at the FT line. Zeisloft before coming to IU had shot 35% and 90%.
