To my knowledge I still don’t know if they have ever selected a team to play with a record under .500 but I do know they got rid of the rule

Yep and the auto qualifier for 1 seeds in smaller conferences that lost in their tournament is gone this also

I think accepting an NIT invitation would be wrong. This team doesn't want to play. They just want to get out of the lime light and forget this season. 

I don’t think they should accept either, should they be chosen. That NIT in CTC’s final year was a baaaaaad look. Imagine it this year.
