Stuhoo Posted February 7, 2021 Posted February 7, 2021 Lander is aggressive, fast, shifty, has great vision, is below average defensively, and will make lots of mistakes. Boys, that’s a significant upgrade. Alford Bailey, Hoosierfan2017 and Loaded Chicken Sandwich 3 Quote
Bowhunter Posted February 7, 2021 Posted February 7, 2021 Lander missing outside , maybe shouldn’t be such a green light , but his passing getting the ball inside has been way better than our starters Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Quote

kreigh8 Posted February 7, 2021 Posted February 7, 2021 Just now, Alford Bailey said: He shot that way in HS. Hasnt been fixed yet.... I'm assuming they went in during HS to land the offers he did. Just looks odd to me, and I'm sure it's not helping his consistency. Just frustrating as his aggressiveness with the shot and with the ball driving is what this team is needing at that position. cappymo14 Posted February 7, 2021 Posted February 7, 2021 One extra pass gets Leal 2 wide open looks. That’s ok though. You asked for it.Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Quote

Have been intentionally skipping the games for the first season in my life because I’m just so worn out with the same, mostly bad, product. Most I’ve been doing is checking this thread periodically. Hillsdale87 Posted February 7, 2021 Posted February 7, 2021 4 freshmen in? Sending a message. Right. It's tough to win when 4 of the 5 starters are basically 0s. Thompson is the only one who has showed upSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote

kreigh8 Posted February 7, 2021 Posted February 7, 2021 He's not a world beater, but man IU had better had at least offered Nunge. 6'11" and not a stiff, could use some of that height on this squad. Quote
Alford Bailey Posted February 7, 2021 Posted February 7, 2021 The potential for this team to get better lies with the freshmen. Our upperclassmen guards are known quantities at this point. Hoosierfan2017 1 Quote
Hoosierfan2017 Posted February 7, 2021 Posted February 7, 2021 I just want 5 guys who play aggressively and aren’t afraid to make mistakes. Too often it seems some of our players are timid and afraid of screwing things up. They think and then act. They get an open shot, hesitate, and then miss. Sometimes you just need to act. If you try making a tough pass and turn it over, who cares. It beats passing the ball around the 3 point line like it’s a hot potato for 20-25 seconds like we usually do. We’ve played much better when we’re aggressive and don’t overthink things. craigyv88 and ellen.walden 2 Quote
