Honestly a great game of basketball that I hope you all enjoyed to some extent.

we played well against a top team. Our defense is very good. Yes we missed lots of shots but we had plenty of open opportunities which I’m very pleased with.

The boys need to get in the gym in their own time and work harder to improve their shot. Cook Hall is open 24/7 for them and they have 13 managers to rebound. Archie should consider a shooting coach sure.

proud of the fight tonight!

What good are open shots if they don’t go in.  Opposing teams give us open shots because they know we can’t hit them.

You can not win in modern basketball without being being able to hit 3s. It’s a failing strategy.

We can be scrappy and win some games but we will NEVER win 6 postseason games in a row.

Agree. Totally agree. To have a team FULL of guards and your best shooters are extremely inconsistent Hunter and Durham. Fun.

Open shots are good because it means we have an offensive structure that allows us to have opportunities to score points.

I wouldn’t say teams are allowing us to shoot. We had lots of great ball movement, extra passes, and transition opportunities that we simply have to knock down.

If we didn’t have the shot opportunities, then there would be a serious problem. The boys have to finish, bottom line.

I really wanna know how in the hell FSU can just stop the game with 2 min to go in OT just to let Koprivica check in and get them a must needed basket. Needs to be a dead ball before he can check in. Someone correct me if I’m wrong? I call BS on that deal!!!

Anyway, it was good to see this one really bother the players. It looked like TJD was nearly in tears. Still need a PG, Rob is indecisive 90% of the time. And oh yeah, we need some outside shooting!

Is Armaan our best guard?

It was good to see us meet the physical play of Florida. Glad to see that. Refs sucked, we have a lot to clean up but it was a good effort. One of the biggest negatives was the first few trips after we took a 65-62 lead in overtime. Al dribbled, dribbled, dribbled, went 1 on 3 trying to to make something happen and Trace did not get touches. Just a crucial couple of minutes that cost us the W.

They have had 4 years to start hitting open shots. It’s not the players

Race improved under archie. But other than that chicken is kinda right. Iu basketball needs to get better. This was a tough fought game but this is indiana basketball and we got to make shots plus win games or archie will and deserve being fired. We fired crean because big ten championships were not up to standards and finishing 10 plus certainly is not. This is just one game but I get the feeling without shooting big ten will be rough

What was the last team to win the championship shooting sub 30% from 3?

1986, most likely. 1987 is when they introduced the three-point line. If so, then that would be Louisville.

I agree here that we had a great opportunity to stretch the lead at the 65-62 mark but couldn’t. I really felt we’d take control there

Well I’m pretty sure it’s the players shooting the basketball on the court. Last time I checked, our coaching staff doesn’t play.

The players have to finish. We’re a solid team. I’m starting to think it’s more of a mental issue for some of our players.

And who exactly is supposed to prepare the players?  Teach them?  Fox mental errors?  I’m confused.
