Good to get the win but EIU lost to mighty Chattanooga last week by two touchdowns and that same Chattanooga team lost to Jacksonville State 41-20 today. EIU redefines the term cupcake but nonetheless it is a “W” when it comes to becoming bowl eligible. I’m very glad we convincingly won but am not sure that it really proved anything. VPC 1 Quote

I’m very glad we comvincinly won but am not sure that it really proved anything.I don’t think anyone would deny that team didn’t suck. But it’s impressive to do something never done after not bringing their A game last week. Both offense and defense showed up. We got our depth some game experience. All of which did what they were suppose to. Not often with Indiana football you could say that. We also managed to win 52-0 and still disappoint Gradman. It was a full day. Popular Post jmsgws Posted September 8, 2019 Popular Post Posted September 8, 2019 Well, that game was a snoozefest, but as others have said, It was actually good for IU to take care of business. The game literally was not in doubt after about the first 8 minutes. It was obvious from the first series, that it was the men against the boys. The one thing that concerned me was the lack of a running game. it just didn't look good. That aside. This was probably the last game I will get to see for at least the next three years. For sure the last game in person, maybe the last game live. So I had a blast. HoosierAloha, barrettballer, mamasa and 9 others 12 Quote
LamarCheeks Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 I wonder if a college football team has ever won 52-0 one week, then lost 52-0 the next? ... Asking for a friend. ... LOL! jmsgws and JaybobHoosier 2 Quote

It doesn’t get them ready for Ohio State. If IU scheduled someone tougher and lost you’d say seasons over. We won’t go bowling. There’s a reason we schedule cupcake games every year. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk I know BTN is running the 60 minute versions of all the games tonight and likely all week but at least with Cox cable where I live they don’t tell you which game is which so my plan was to record them all and hopes that one is the IU game Quote
