Strikes me as a situation where they want to pick IU for whatever reason. But they will make it a business decision just hope we are the best there

I have different thoughts on why this happens but do agree it’s a business decision.

Aminu finishing with 43 points, 10 rebounds, 4-9 from 3 is exciting - no doubt. He doesn’t look that good to me though, more like a 3 star recruit. It seems like he’s very casual and sluggish out there. He dominates because he’s a little taller than most of his opponents and can dunk when wide open. Most of his points are just open lay ups. He’s not very impressive to me. I don’t know how he became 11th ranked in ESPN’s 2021 recruiting class

 

However, I wasn’t very optimistic about Trey Galloway, and boy he proved me wrong! A five star recruit- and 11th in the country, would still be great.

You’ve got to be kidding?  Sluggish? Did we watch the same games?  He’s not 6’9”.  Those guards he was playing last night were good.  Kickapoos whole strategy was to stop Aminu and they couldn’t.

You might want to do a little more research on what he’s done and who he’s done it against.

My understanding is that Aminu was regularly getting to the rim and getting it done in high level DC high school ball

as a freshman.

Not all 5 stars are created equal. He doesn't have to sell everyone on his top 15 ranking.

His numbers are video game-like though, and his measurables and athleticism are off the charts.

Aminu would make us better, no doubt. We should all be ecstatic if he comes to IU. We really need recruiting momentum.

Also did that in the 2019 AAU season which is definitely a step up in the level of competition.

From Greenwood School:  Tonight’s Greenwood Vs Rogersville game has been postponed.  Rescheduled date will be announced soon.

Aminu's next scheduled game is Thursday at Mountain Grove.

Here's the bracket for the Blue and Gold Tournament scheduled for Dec. 28-31.  Greenwood opens against Reeds Spring.

Where's a mercy rule when you need one?  Greenwood on the road at Mountain Grove --  36-13 at the half and 66-16 at the end of the 3rd Q.  Final score 69 - 23.

Aminu went to the bench for the final time with 3 or 4 min. left in the 3rd and finished with 20 pts. and 8 reb.  His next game is Saturday afternoon.

Aminu passes 2,200 career points, now at 2,215. He needs 21 to pass Julius Walker as Greenwood’s career scoring leader (2,235)

Not a thing. But I'm going to the Greenwood game in Jeff City tomorrow and I'm sure once he sees me court side in my favorite IU hoodie he's gonna run over, give me a big social distance-inappropriate hug and say, "See you next month."

Okay, probably not so much that. But I am going to introduce myself to Harmon if he's there, and he's been at the games I've gone down for except 1. I've DM'd with him a couple of times and he seems like a genuinely decent dude. I'm sure he'll tell me everything.

Any idea what kind of opponent Jeff City will be for Greenwood?  Heckuva title game against Kickapoo in the Willard Classic and then last night hardly anyone broke a sweat against Mountain Grove.
