Also they have a guy that seems like he wants to be an insider saying it’s down to Marquette and Minnesota. He of course spoke directly to an assistant coach at Dawson’s high school.

Sounds like he left the board for awhile because fighting with people about the former coach. And this was his glorious return.

Hopefully Archie has already lined up some totally allowed sponsorship deals with Ken Nunn and Mark Cuban. 

Now that the NCAA has given their blessing to pro athletes, we should never be outbid for a basketball recruit. And not losing as many to all the cheaters south of us either.

Imagine how much business Yogis(it’s coming back from what I hear) or Chocolate moose will be able to do if people know that the money will go towards helping IU land the best recruits.

I was just trying to talk recruiting. Get their prospective. I get sick of the, “You arent Indiana anymore” BS. True. But we sure as heck aren’t Marquette either. Hell, we hired their coach away from them.

If there is one thing I think we can hang our hat on it is we never would have allowed one of our users to talk to a guest like that. I don’t think you did anything wrong. I wouldn’t have done it just because I have seen too much of that over the years. But it wasn’t like you came in with both middle fingers up taking a crap on their board.

If there is one thing I think we can hang our hat on it is we never would have allowed one of our users to talk to a guest like that. I don’t think you did anything wrong. We’re brothers and sisters here. We can talk bad about our own but others can’t! Although, I’m not sure if some are who they say they are.. (think of that guy up there in western Canada)

On Garcia, hopefully his buddies have talked him into being the adopted Hoosier along with Geronimo! I’m really hoping for a crazy versatile front court and think he could really help.

For the record, didn't talk to my best source yet, will try and do that this afternoon/evening, but what I was told by someone with knowledge is that Dawson is likely to decide this month, but if he had to guess, he would guess it comes after the early signing period.

Take FWIW, but that is what one person with knowledge thinks. The vibe I got was he would guess Marquette, but he definitely didn't know.

Brian Snow was the first paragraph. The second was from this dude on 247. Think milehiu with the way he posts with “sources”. He tends to lean in with his Marquette shades on. Sounds like the National guys are still trying to find any info out. If he signed later I don’t know how that is anything but good for both IU and Memphis.

I feel like many of Archie’s recruits have had very quiet processes, at least from the recruits side. It’s seemed like Archie and the recruit coordinate a bit on these announcements and signings. Any one else notice this?

Anyway, this one has been very quiet as well. Easily could be biased, but I like what happening.

Exactly! ^^This, this, this^^ I have no idea if IU gets this kid, but man, it sure is playing out like a lot of CAM's other recruiting wins. Maybe that's just pure coincidence, but definitely seems familiar. Fingers still tightly crossed... GO HOOSIERS!!

Even if Smith continues his play and leaves, slide Hunter in there.

I’m getting ahead of myself here and I don’t care.

Another reason I think this is a no-brainer.

At Marquette, even adding Garcia, they will still likely only be a borderline tournament team losing Howard.

At Indiana, Garcia could be the difference between a solid tournament team and a legitimate Final Four contender  (a lot to play out here like how well our PGs play and freshman develop, but a lineup of TJD Garcia Durham Smith Phinisee is really really strong)

Won’t argue (because I agree) but being ready and leaving are 2 separate things. Especially if he graduates.

FWIW he leads the NCAA in Dunks. Lol. Which is awesome.
