Did you see Moore get lost and give up the open three last night? Defense is the reason he isnt playing IMO.

Not like Fitz is hitting alot while out there and the defensive difference does not equate to the hustle, will to perform, exuberance for a chance to be on the floor not to mention more game time experience. Are we losing that much? From what I see and believe alot others...no.

I think losing at Maryland after playing in the first have is part of the reason we looked like a hot mess against Nebraska. Nebraska isn’t a bad squad but we should absolutely compete with them at home. We let one loss turn into two.

Edit: good teams don’t do that. It’ll be interesting to see the energy level against pu

And Nebraska is a mature group who came out confident and ready to play.

I'm not sure why do much attention is being paid to three scored when Moore failed to switch.  Same thing can happen when a guy doesn't block out and gives an and one....which has happened quite a bit. Hell, if they guy missed the shot no one is bringing it up.  Bottom line, don't read much into the only five minutes a guy plays.  What I am reading into is the little he has played he has excelled in one particular area -- rebounding.  Can anyone come up with any area that Fitzner has excelled in?  Davis?  It's hard to be a role player if you don't have a role.

Nebraska is in the 4-6 seed range. They played 4 of their first 6 B1G games on the road. Lost by 2 @ Maryland and led most of the Minny game before losing. Lost to Texas Tech on neutral who is 5 NET. They are old and experienced. For star people, They start a 5 star and the rest 4 star starters. Palmer was 1St team all B1G last year. While I gave crap to Gradman for saying they were a great program(got to win a tourney game first) I never said they were a bad team this year. Miles had to go the transfer route but after missing tourney last year with a 12-6 record this year will be Nebraska’s best year to get programs first tourney win.

Help me.   Moore still has a long way to go defensively.  Yeah, he had a bucket in transition and another at the end of a loose ball; but what did he do tonight that was so worthy of "credit?"    He, like almost everyone, has a long way to go.

Oh he's far from a complete product and to be honest in a normal situation he would still be a ways from seeing the floor. But this team....I mean no need to sugarcoat it at this point. The depth is almost non-existent. Davis just can't play physically, I feel bad for him but he can't move at all. McRoberts has been fighting injuries too and when you combine that with how afraid he is to even touch the ball on offense, it's hard to argue he should be on the floor over a shooter like Anderson. Then you have Fitzner, and I'm going to be nice about it, but even with Moore's faults he brings a lot more to the table than Fitzner.

We're going to have guys playing that in all reality should still be developing in practice. That's just where we're at with the injuries/poor play. Yes Moore can get lost on D, but he can also block shots. You can't give him the ball and expect you to create, but he has good size/length that can give you second chance opportunities. He's a bit hesitant at times but he plays with energy.

Archie tried to get Garland and he knew we needed him. Archie then tried to get DJ Carton for the following class because we need him.

Green is an unstable inconsistent answer. Phinisee is better but not a standout yet. And probably won’t be next year either. Granted I think he will be a big plus as an upperclassman. Those 2 misses hurt. As far as a big man post presence? Who the heck knows. I guess it will be Forrester. We don’t have one this year and we won’t have one next year either.

Offense is just so stagnant and that hasn’t changed for 2 seasons. Not sure what it will take. I think it takes shooters but we don’t have them and don’t appear to be recruiting them.

Bleak Fleek has returned.

I'd love to have a Jordan Hulls type shooter on this team, give him a little daylight and you could put the points on the board.  I wish we had a true 5 too, Morgan is good but he doesn't have the size to match up with players like Arkansas' Gafford or the bigs that Maryland has; Davis has the size but not the mobility.

If we go 3-4 in the next seven, the season isn't lost.  We'd be 15-8 and 6-7 in conference with the easier part of the conference left.

Would be 15-9. You are probably correct in saying it wouldn’t be over. I mean sure, with the setup we discussed, the team wouldn’t be out of it losing 7-8 of the first 12 conference games, no probably still plenty of chances. It is a bit of a leap though, to assume that same team is going to suddenly run the table in its final 7 plus the BTT game. State on the road, at Iowa, at the barn, Wisky wherever. UM at home. That’s more likely another 4-5 to the loss column and that’s assuming IU takes care of business in the “easier” games as you would put it. Now we’re looking at 13-14 losses. That’s bubble burst city. So anyway, I say, need a winning record in the next 7. Just do that.
