TXHoosierDaddy Posted August 6, 2018 Posted August 6, 2018 I really think this is best case scenario given that Maryland/Purdue will be very close imo. johnsoniu Posted August 6, 2018 Posted August 6, 2018 12-0, B1G Championship, College Football Playoffs. At this stage of my life, being a realist isn't any fun. But if I must, 6-6 with a win no one expected and vintage IUFB wtf loss. Go Hoosiers! thebigweave, RatpigHoosier, mamasa and 1 other 4 Quote
Magnanimous Posted August 7, 2018 Posted August 7, 2018 The ceiling for this team is 9 wins IMO. I think we go 7-5. thebigweave, mamasa and RatpigHoosier 3 Quote

Probably too optimistic for some, but I think the S&C coaches are a big help and I think finally we can stay healthy. I would have loved to put MSU up as W but I have a feeling it will be another tight game that their experience overshadows our youth. I don’t think PSU will be that amazing this year. Yeah Mcsorely is still there but I just don’t see it after what I have looked into. I still think the go bowling but I don’t think they have the hype come mid season that people are thinking. mamasa and thebigweave 2 Quote

Sure, our success rate against those teams might be more like once every 10 years instead of once every 30, but on a year to year basis I don't think it would change anything. Alford Bailey 1 Quote
VO5 Posted August 7, 2018 Posted August 7, 2018 6-6. 7-6 to finish the year with a bowl win and winning record. Quote

That’s four almost automatic losses each year. PU, for example doesn’t have that problem. Nebraska is not a powerhouse like they used to be. For me, I would send one of the football factories to the West in exchange for a school like IL. The other part of the equation is I would like IU to become a stronger program, but given our losing history, that’s easier said than done.Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app ThompsonHoosier 1 Quote

That being said, I don't know much about our opponents this year. It's also IU football, and IU football tends to lose 2 or 3 more games than I think they should. mamasa 1 Quote
