MSU....Heat on Izzo?

Recommended Posts

Was speaking with some friends recently, and isn't it ironic that this just "went away" for Izzo & Company, yet again?  Believably unbelievable. Key staff surrounding the golden boy all fired, yet Izzo remains standing. Lord help the ladies involved (and their fathers) who now know sports trumps all. If this were 99% of other schools, a full house cleaning would have been done.  Makes my blood boil to know they get away with this ****.

Nope not at all. I predicted when it happened izzo was not and will not go anywhere. They let it all blow over because winning is all that matters and why college bball is a cesspool that will not be cleaned up. That being said I hope izzo loses in the first game. He deserves it.

It is awfully disheartening that this completely disappeared in the media. I don't believe it is over but Izzo won't be touched.

Yep. Glad IU helped do their part in the brushing it under the rug

How did they do that?

Because they handed out cards before a nationally televised game requesting the crowd not verbally abuse Izzo or they could be tossed. So basically we couldn’t cuss at him or things like that. According to what the usher told us. Apparently that bothers some?

Equally frustrated here. Again MSU and IZZO are March Madness darlings.

Cheating, scumbag, winning coaches are adored by the media that ACT appalled by the cheating in the industry.

It’s a little more serious than cheating.

Thus the scumbag remark. And why it's even more egregious. Re:Pitino, maybe worse.

They are all scumbags but rape to me is more serious than what Pitino did that is publicly known. It’s hard to quantify though since we don’t know the half of it. What I do know is the decisions Izzo was allowed to make he shouldn’t have been able to. The school put pressure on people/areas they shouldn’t have all been able to. I hope they all rot in hell.

Pitino lacked any and all morals professionally and personally. Izzo appears to be from the same cloth if what we know is factual as it seems that it is.

Literally win above ALL else.

Even looking at the quality of kids MSU and Louisville have recruited speaks volumes.

As I've said winning trumps all. Why to do think pitino lasted so long. It's win at all costs

We don't have to stoop to that level.

Classless behavior from thousands of people won't change the punishment.

If we're so worried about the status of and respect for Indiana basketball, allowing people to behave like heathens should also be avoided. A program is often judged by its fanbase right alongside the team and relative level of success.

I didn’t think they would do anything to Izzo. He “swept those issues under the rug” as I knew he would, until they went away.
