IMO, Newkirk should be looking to assist more and shoot less.

 

To my non-expert eye I can certainly see that the team has been working on defense - they have quite a way to go still, but I like what I see for the most part.

It is hard to use the "empty cupboard" story against them.  Duke yes, but Davis, Rojo, Cojo, Green etc are much higher ranked than any player Howard has ever dreamed of.  This is not a "we are doomed" post but is a " I thought we would be better post".

We started out tight and Rojo is afraid to shoot. Love the defensive intensity. Davis needs to understand when we get him the ball down low to make a bucket instead of passing back out. Wow, entry passes! Moore has NBA size but along way to go. Several times he passes up shots and open drives. I like all ourfreshmen; they need more mintes.

I️ guess I️ should cut Robert some slack. It’s hard to be intense when you have played in so many big games and have to play against Howard.

Love seeing Al play so well.

CuJo is HORRIBLE! Soft soft soft as a marshmallow kitten made out of cotton balls and Kleenex.
RoJo has had bad moments, but he is defending and absolutely busting his @$$ out there.
PS: still love ya Dalton; it’s CuJo that I can’t stand to watch

So glad Crean did such a terrible job recruiting the state of Indiana...we have no consistent shooters. Only shooter we will have will be Hartman when he comes back...coincidentally from Indiana. Crean tried to recruit too much on potential instead of kids who can already play...always got hung up trying to find the next D-Wade or Oladipo.

I️ think this is very accurate. Miller will do everything he can to lock down the state and get players. Not athletes, but ball players.
