I would think they would have to work to restore order, or face the possibility of being replaced. Once again, just an opinion

Frankly I think the NCAA will try to keep their head down and mouth shut until this blows over.  Then they'll slap the hell out of some meaningless program to make it look like they cared.

We are hard after TJB, Brooks, Hurt, and Watford and very likely could get none of them. All top players and all players the dirty recruiters would pay to get.

Honestly we may be best served to take on a Wisconsin model and spend our time on 4 stars and high 3 stars. I mean our success ratio would probably be pretty good on getting guys we want. I mean we could waste all this time on these 5 stars and lose out in most cases to money in the end.

The options are pretty simple and there are really only two of them.

1. Wisconsin model and maybe land an in state 5 star every five years or so.

 

1.  Drop your ethics and play in the weeds with the big boys who will do anything to win.  You simply will not get five stars without playing dirty.

The sad thing for me about all of this is that, at its inception, the game was pure. It's nothing close to that now. Admittedly, I'm old and probably out of touch but I miss that purity, even if it was only an illusion.

Anything where money is involved there will be some level of corruption. Football may make more in sales, but merchandise is basketball hands down. I haven’t heard of the Peyton Manning shoe, but you got Jordan’s, Kobe’s, Steph Curry, etc. Just so lucrative for so many people if a kid is good.

After today it seems like Kentucky and Seton Hall have the most reason to be worried.  UK could end up vacating a lot of games over the past few years, I could very well see Cal bolting Lexington after this season.

Stephen a Smith thinks this is going to clean up the game. He clearly does not follow the ncaa very closely. Find a few fall guys and move on is what will happen. Bank it.
