I swear if that dude was paid i will lose it. He quit to save his draft stock. Wont call names but i have a few i would say. Nobody under crean should have gotten a dime besides vic and he didn't cause he blossomed later on. Not one guy should have been paid. I am drinking tonight so sorry if i am being harsh but if we paid anybody under crean i am mad. I would pay morgan and mcbob before anyone under crean

Crean didn’t land the big five stars which makes me think he wasn’t involved in anything shady. Preston, Goodluck, Jaren Jackson, Brian Bowen, Wilkes, Lyles, etc. went elsewhere.
As far as Vonleh is concerned, IU recruited him hard. His commitment was brought about through diligent effort.

Also another poster showed all our nba guys signed different shoe deals than adidas. We were clean under crean. That was all i respect him for hopefully that is not taken away

I agree I think Crean is clean, but I'm still a bit worried about some of his assistants.

Chuck Martin was the lead recruiter for John Calipari and recruited Derrick Rose.  Kenny Johnson coached at University-6.

Does anyone remember when Crean alluded to all of this? What all happened in the behind the scenes that he wouldn't take part in. Was it post game when we lost to Georgia Tech? I'm having trouble finding it.

I'm not saying he deserved it but they said no one came for free so like it or not he was a top 10 recruit and prolly had offer sheets.

A part of me wonders how much longer the NCAA as we know it can really last, after this debacle and getting caught up in the Nassar/MSU mess.  They've proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that they're either extremely corrupt or laughably incompetent, granted pretty well everyone already knew that.

I also remember a few instances in which players were held out during NCAA investigations into the program, seemed as if Crean took these things very seriously. Remember Parea and Hollowell being two specific instances in which they were held out of games, and for considerable amounts of time.

Lets get real for a second. Romeo was going to loser vilille which was definitely paying players. Now he is going to vandy possibly? It is painfully obvious that if we dont get him vandy is paying imo. Hopefully we are clean that is most important cause i think we have a coach now

The Louisville, Kansas, Vandy connection is damning. IU almost always loses these type of recruitments.

The more top programs are involved the harder, and less likely, it is for harsh penalties to be levied. Without the perennial favorites, the interest and money will dry up. The diehard fans might stay, but the casual fans will lose interest pretty quickly.
