Arizona vs IU series coming to a town near.....

Recommended Posts

I like neutral court games for some series... aka UofL or Butler,  UK even... but not for Arizona series... too far apart geographically to make any sense... i mean MSG is cool and exposure,  and i know we feel we have a fan base in NYC... but what is the point for Arizona?

I'd rather a 4 year series with home,  home,  neutral (Indy or Louisville area), neutral out west somewhere.

I could see this. A neutral in Indy and a neutral somewhere in Arizona (Phoenix?) to round out a 4 year deal. I would prefer we play someone like Arizona or UNC at a neutral site in NYC, as opposed to a UL or puke.

I'd really like a marquee home, away, and neutral site game annually. That's on top of the CC, ACC or Big East game. Indy, Chicago, and NYC are good places to play those neutral site games.

I'd also like a home and away game with a top level team (top 1/3 of conference) annually. I want to be in the discussion of top 25 OOC SOS!!

Louisville continually beat us because they had more Dawg, Size, and athleticism.

Crean's teams were soft and finesse. Nice guys that didnt grind (with a few exceptions). Terrible matchups for UL or Syracuse.

The matchup this past year was completely predictable.

We have to get tougher. I think we will, but our 2017 recruits seem to fit the Crean Mold. (Justin Smith is super athletic but not a Dawg).

I'm not sure about Race, Jerome, and Damezi but i think they fit that mold as well.

Have to change the culture. (Not of being good kids but being tougher).

Like this news.....great opponent for fans and recruits alike---and helps with strength of schedule come March. A true win-win. Plus it will be must see TV when the two bothers coach against each other.  Love the direction our program is heading---up!

I agree with you with the exception being Justin Smith.Think he's going to be a mean MoFo.

You've really never heard anyone say "that player has some dog in him" before? It just means that a player brings physicality and toughness to the game and he's never going to back down to anyone. Draymond has it. Lance Stephenson is crazy but he has it too. A lot of the time it's the kind of player that fans absolutely hate unless they're on their team.

I believe DeRon Davis has it.

He may have been but I have heard AJ Moye say that Mike Davis used to insist on Bracey shooting the ball a lot. Think he wanted him to shoot 20+ times a game.

Pretty sure it was Davis who desperately wanted Bracey to go pro-ironically moreso than Bracey did.

@btownqb- Would you mind.....please remove your signature, " You must operate with a level of toughness in everything you do, you can't make any excuses, and you have to earn the right to be good-Archie Miller". It appears in every post and it distracts living Purdue Person out of me! There is some way in your personal settings to make it small and in a different color or lower in density. Please don't take offense. Just a suggestion. :)

I think he should change it a little bit to;

Definition of Dawg: You must operate with a level of toughness in everything you do, you can't make any excuses, and you have to earn the right to be good-Archie Miller

Not sure why it shows my signature differently on the actual site than it does the app. In all honesty, this is my first post from the actual website, all others have been from the app. Hmmmmm
