what have you been told qb

He likes Purdue. IU does lead. I got the impression the MSU scandal might play an impact, but I didn't specifically ask about that. OSU was never mentioned. I would agree those are the top 4 though.

Peegs said UCLA is a legit threat to land TJD given that his stepdad is from LA so the distance will not be as big of a factor.

Then he's either settling to play for Alford or hoping for a decent coaching change in the near future.

You better add UCLA in his top list.

I understand the demographics of CA, but is that state so devoid of highly talented basketball players that he has to recruit Indiana so vigorously? Population there is almost $40 million. Obviously his IN roots help him along with the great weather there. BTW, my question is somewhat rhetorical.

Figures, we're probably going to lose out to UCLA for this kid.  I hate being a pessimist in regards to IU recruiting, but getting Romeo first would go a long way to being optimistic.

Same. Been tough being an IU fan in general lately. If Romeo goes to Vandy then it will continue the pessimists’.

I knew when he did not verbal back in October we would be in a big time fight for him. I could totally see him going to Ohio state also as that program is having a fantastic year.

Remember that Alford and Holtman both feel slighted for not being offered the IU job.  Both will go out of their way to recruit Indiana.  Archie will have to fight to say the least.

Maybe Alford but many scouts who talked with Holtman on a regular basis said no chance he would of taken IU job (too big of pressure cooker for his personality)
