Do you really think any sitting coach for one team is going to say anything about taking another job? Especially while the season is winding down and they're firmly in the playoffs. Billy is our next coach. Why do you think that Donovan is going to be willing to give up his $6MM a year and coaching one of the best players on the planet to come back to college to a program where he's got zero history? For the record some quotes of Donovan's recently: "I am totally happy here." "I love it here." "I love the guys I work with every day. I love our staff, the organization. As far as I'm concerned, my commitment is totally here and doing the best job I can while I'm here." This is just Donovan playing coy? Ehhh. Hoosierfan73 1 Quote

Because we will pay him more than 6 million a year and over a longer period than 3 years he would have left. Because he can't control that player the way he wants because the owner will not let him. Look at Sabens comments before signing with Alabama. RedsIUfan and CR3AMnCR1MS0N 2 Quote

Miller'sTheMan Posted March 20, 2017 Posted March 20, 2017 In the off chance it is Alford, I do think he's a slightly better coach than Crean... But still Donovan all day everyday. WayneFleekHoosier, CR3AMnCR1MS0N and IUsafety 3 Quote

Mlibrett Posted March 20, 2017 Posted March 20, 2017 I actually think him tactically working around the words "I am not interested and I am not leaving" is one of the stronger arguments that he is interested ..Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Quote

His team's at New Mexico looked good. Sent from my SM-G935P using BtownBanners mobile app New Mexico St. Remember that. Quote

FortWayneHoosier Posted March 20, 2017 Posted March 20, 2017 I see Alford getting the casual fans really hyped up about the rumor of him coming here, but for us maniacs it just doesn't cut it. I understand he's an IU legend, and he will get the culture but at the end of the day we want championships. I really could care less if a guy is from the east coast, south or wherever as long as he wins and follows the rules that's all that mattersSent from my iPhone using BtownBanners ALASKA HOOSIER, CR3AMnCR1MS0N, Chris Nieman and 2 others 5 Quote

MisterBigRig Posted March 20, 2017 Posted March 20, 2017 If Indiana University's wealthy alumni are primarily interested in reaching back to the past why not make Calbert Cheaney, Damon Bailey and A. J. Guyton the three assistant coaches? ALASKA HOOSIER 1 Quote
