He has to say what he said or similar. Do you really think any sitting coach for one team is going to say anything about taking another job? Especially while the season is winding down and they're firmly in the playoffs. Billy is our next coach.

Why do you think that Donovan is going to be willing to give up his $6MM a year and coaching one of the best players on the planet to come back to college to a program where he's got zero history?

For the record some quotes of Donovan's recently:

"I am totally happy here."

"I love it here."

"I love the guys I work with every day. I love our staff, the organization. As far as I'm concerned, my commitment is totally here and doing the best job I can while I'm here."

This is just Donovan playing coy? Ehhh.

Because we will pay him more than 6 million a year and over a longer period than 3 years he would have left.

Because he can't control that player the way he wants because the owner will not let him.

Look at Sabens comments before signing with Alabama.

I still contest that IU would get Alfords very best. He has shown to be a competent coach at times. His team's at New Mexico looked good.

New Mexico St.

Remember that.

I see Alford getting the casual fans really hyped up about the rumor of him coming here, but for us maniacs it just doesn't cut it. I understand he's an IU legend, and he will get the culture but at the end of the day we want championships. I really could care less if a guy is from the east coast, south or wherever as long as he wins and follows the rules that's all that matters
