I think that FCTC is a helluva good tv analyst.

Yes he is. His spot in helping out during draft time was awesome!! Sounded better than any of the other guys. Saw someone say he should take a job in the NBA as an assistant and I agree with that too. Both of those are solid options for him. Take some stress off him and his family for a year and see what jobs open up next year. Is Riley still planning to play baseball here? I wouldnt care but I hope the kid is treated fairly if he does. Now that he is gone it wont be close to as bad as we all thought if he stayed. Crean family should be welcome at IU anytime they want. He is at the womens game today which took balls.

Ehhhh may want to push those expectations back a year or two. Lol.

Nope. This team had a lot of talent that wasn't maximized. We all know why that was the case

I prefer to say long shot.  He may have listened, but it would have been a huge accomplishment to get him or Stevens.

There really is a pool of about 6 guys (the ones we debated about endlessly) that are currently the best options for anyone looking to hire a coach.  Each in that group has pro's and con's but all are very good coaches and we got one of them (perhaps the one with the greatest upside).  It would be practically impossible for ANY program to pry Calipari or Self away.  All the other top tier coaches (perhaps except Few) are approaching the finish line and will be retiring soon.  Between now and when that happens there could be a coach that rises to the top, but right now there's no guarantee that UNC, Duke, Louisville, or MSU will have a better pool to choose from than we did.

From what I've seen of him, Archie Miller looks to have the demeanor, pedigree, and basketball smarts to develop into one hell of a coach for us.

Archie has the chance to be in the next generation of elite coaches.

I have to admit, I kind of feel like a d-bag that I got my hopes so high and fell for the all of the Donovan rumors. But I think Miller might be the best possible fit here and I think IU can be something special with him.
