What happened to Archie's belief that some number of scholarships should be saved/not used every year? How does that factor into where we will be next season, personnel-wise?

It looks like if there are no transfers, we have two open scholarships next year...

Thankfully, we won't be dealing with the "perennially over signed" crap.

Most of these guys were ranked higher on rivals and none were diamonds in the rough. All were recruited by high major colleges. A diamond in the ruff would be a guy like Priller, April, Gelon, or Jobe becoming a big time player.

Ok just go back and look at 2016 top 75-80. #15 wenyen gabriel, #48 seventh woods, #57 jay huff , #78 Quentin goodin (turned into a decent sophomore season, terrible freshman) and #80 Eli Wright. This is again, why I don’t pay much attention to these rankings. Each kid and situations they are going into are different. Each kids work ethic is different. Each handle things differently from a mental aspect. And lastly, how much work someone has to put in physically to get their body right.

I think that’s where it’s at with Clifton and Aljami. They need to accept where their at right now physically and then be willing to obtain a goal this offseason. Then their confidence will grow from there. I actually love both of these kids potential.

Just think with Al, a long, athletic, high B.B.-IQ, and at 6’4 left handed point guard. Can not wait for it and with the way some of you are talking I hope he stays around for it. Now with Clifton, a 6’10 kid that you can pick and pop with and keep the floor stretched, I like. But I feel he has a long way to go. But potentially, it’s there

Morgan will test the NBA waters and declare for the draft. He might get some team to fall in love with him..but it’s a long shot.

I expect him back next year. But... he could be a stash player in the G League for some team. I think his height and athletic ability might hinder him.

I think it might be the other way around. I really like Morgan as a second or probably third option in the offense, but not as option one. If Langford comes, he is option one from the start. If one of the other freshmen or a grad transfer is good enough, then Morgan slips a little farther down. My point is that I don't see him improving his draft stock with another year. I can see him playing a long time in Europe, but I don't know how he fits in the NBA.

Guys this might be unpopular but I think Morgan would get killed in the NBA. I just don’t see it! Euro player? Sure. NBA? No freakin way.

I agree he is way undersized to play in the NBA and doesn't have much of a game outside of under the basket....Tyler Hansbrough had more of a game and a better motor but is about the same size...just ask him how his career is going with the Mad Ants. Unless he magically develops a shot within the next 2 months or increases his vertical by 10 inches, he's not going anywhere.

This is the absolute truth.  I watch a good amount of the NBA.  My opinion he never plays a minute in the NBA.  If he leaves, it will be because he wants to get paid to play, and who can blame him.  But, those checks will not come from an NBA team, unless it is in the G league.

I would be shocked and disappointed if Juwan is basing a very important decision in his life on what a teenage kid in High School, that he has virtually no relationship with, is gonna do.

Yea, no doubt that if we don’t land Romeo and juwan leaves, it will be another bad year.

We may not make the NIT without them. They were be no momentum for next year.

If Davis can come back, and raise his play (stay out of foul trouble!), it would help Morgan immeasurably.  Heck, it'd help everyone on the court with him.  Being able to rotate Morgan, Davis, Smith, and hopefully Thompson would go a long way to improving the team.
