He left for a promotion. He wanted to be on the bench so to speak. He was limited in his role of Director of Basketball Operations on face to face time with the boys. At St. Louis, he was an Assistant Coach.

Wasn't as much a personal issue as it was CC couldn't stand the **** show that was being passed off as coaching on a daily basis.

In the recent past Crean said if there's one thing he's learned in 9 years it's that everything falls on him.  He didn't already know that?  That might be the only thing he's learned in 9 years here, which is one more than he learned from Izzo.

Granted he said that after essentially saying "it's not my fault and here's excuses x through z, but I'm not deflecting blame" so I'm not sure he's even learned that.


I took that comment to be a swipe at the fans, essentially saying the fans blame him for everything. That's the way it is when you're in charge. Time to put the big boy pants on, Tommy.
