STFU!

I'd love to see a compilation video of either one analyst/writer fawning over a bunch of coaches or of one coach being celebrated by the media.

Agreed but.. I don't think it's been this loud before as to most of the fan base and alum wanting him gone.

I could be wrong but I get the sense that glass is gonna start feeling pressure.

Missing the NCAA 2 outta the last 4 years won't fly.

Yep... missing the Dance 2 years out of 4 will do a lot to offset the 2 B1G championships out of 4 years.

IndyStar Sports Twitter account said this this morning...

#iubb fans were booing everything against #Purdue. @GreggDoyelStar thinks that might become a trend. http://indy.st/2ka2sC4

May be THAT will get through to Glass and Crean... hate booing our guys, though.

When I read that, my first reaction was that Doyel must have never been to Whackey Arena.  Good God, those idiots boo the refs if their own player misses a FT.

Serious question.  Can someone please explain to me why everyone seems to be so into Archie Miller?  I admit, I have not watched him coach or if I have I do not remember anything about it and I don't hear much about him other than on this site so I am curious as to what it is?  Again, serious question, looking for information from those who know more about him.

I know this is slightly off topic but I'm worried about HTD.  There is only 1 thread started by him now on the main page of that site.  I think he might have finally lost it.

Maybe he managed to open his eyes and got a peek at the truth...

Finally?  He lost it a long time ago.

I can tell you a few things, as I watch UD basketball second to IU (went to Dayton and lived in the area for 6-7 years before moving south).  Archie started his first 2 yrs at UD with 20-13 and 17-14 and hasn't won less than 25 since. He has the EE run that ppl point to, but also a remarkably similar curve upwards in his teams record, both in total wins and conference (7-9, 10-6, 13-5, 14-4).  He coaches D at a high level, with his team's adj D finishing at 31, 15, and 22(current year).  He's led UD to the best 3 year winning stretch in program history and will likely lead them to their 4 straight NCAA appearance (something CTC has NEVER done btw).  Factor in the roster challenges he has faced in the last few years (one year he had no one over 6'6 due to kicking some gents to the curb) and you start to see why he's an up and coming coach many are excited about.

If I also may add on Archie, along with his brother Seth, are involved in USA basketball. May mean little in the long run, but with TJ Leaf and Sean Miller it can play a role. Leaf went to UCLA after Seth cut him from the USA team, as most may know, but I'm of the belief having someone tied to these teams and the pipeline it could provide can only be beneficial. It's not everything - as players can be found outside these teams like OG and Oladipo. Just thought I'd add my two cents, unsolicited as it may be.

Not sold.  Since he's been at Oregon his average AdjD per Kenpom is 84, those rankings aren't really trending up either they're just all over the place from a high of 11 to as low as 160.

Agreed.  I don't want the next coach to have had an adj D lower than the top 50 in the last 3 years.  After watching CTC's teams play little to no defense the last 9 years, I want some semblance of fundamentals shown on the floor, especially on defense.

There is no "Seth Miller"... Archie's brother Sean (Arizona head coach) served as the head coach of the men's U19 team which competed at the 2015 FIBA U19 world championships.

Apologies. As you can tell I'd rather have the younger, more local coach obviously

I've always wondered if Tony Bennett is at a destination job at Virginia. If we couldn't swing Stevens - and what he has going in Boston, not sure we could - wondered if we could convince Bennett to come to Bloomington

I would double his salary. I doubt Virginia could match and no school that could match us would be looking for a coach this year.

He's no Stevens as most would agree, but I for one would love to see that defense being played at IU again. Although granted last night wasn't awful defensively...but offensively..woof

Didn't he turn us down during our last coaching search?  Although, I thought part of him turning us down was because his dream job was Wisconsin (and that no longer seems to be happening), and that we fired his sister or something like that.

2 things here. First the admin that fired his sister is gone. Second, he said he wasnt ready for that big of a job at that point in his career. He has since excelled at Virginia and in my mind poised for a blueblood job.
