Fred Glass’s. “I’ve seen the guy up close,” says Glass. “Seen the way he breaks down film and coaches these guys, both on individual skills and strategy. I’ve believed since the beginning that he’s not only a great recruiter, which people seem to acknowledge. He’s not only a great motivator, which people generally acknowledge. He’s not only a great developer of talent, which I think his naysayers grudgingly acknowledge. He’s a great X’s-and-O’s coach. I didn’t need this year to have that confirmed for me.”

Above are exact quotes from Glass a couple of years ago when Crean was again on the proverbial hot seat. Tell me this guy gets it or if we should have faith he will do the right thing for this university. He is stuck in his fandom of Crean and should be canned along with him. Even if he let Crean go, I have serious reservations he would make a great hire. Glass needs to go!

Yep, just as I suspected.

I just sent Glass a very crappy email. Not that he will read it but my god. If our AD doesnt even care about our program than who will? The fans wont keep sticking around. UCLA went from sold out every year and then had maybe half the gym filled the following year. If Glass makes us suffer we need to find a way to do the same to him.

You know what isn't mentioned in Glass's statement? WINNING. All that above stuff is great and all, but if he can't win it means absolutely zero.

If Crean is back I recommend we rent a billboard in Bloomington and put these word from Fred Glass up there.

"My goals for this program are to perenially contend for and to win multiple Big Ten championships, regularly go deep in the NCAA tournament and win our next national championship," Glass said. "Be elite, if you will. As a lifelong Hoosier and IU basketball fan, alumnus and current AD, nobody wants that more than me.

With some snarky comment about if you want to see that, turn around and go watch Butler or something like that.

Or here in southern Indiana Louisville since they already have signs on this side of the river anyways.

Funny thing is he said that and kept a coach with 15 years of evidence showing it won't happen.

This isn't my original thought but just read it elsewhere and totally agree. But if IU retains Crean because Glass couldn't get one of his top 4 choices, then he's a failure.

UK got it done. Louisville got it done. Virginia got it done. Arizona got it done. Alabama football got it done. Ohio St football got it done. Michigan football got it done.

pUKe, Alabama, and Michigan all said "enough is enough" and went and got their guy.  They had administrations and ADs that have expectations and care.  It doesn't appear IU does.
