recker222000 Posted January 8, 2017 Posted January 8, 2017 12 of 24 from three. Over half of are total shots are from three. When they go in we win. Its a crappy strategy imo but it can work on the nights they go in its just not going to win you a national titleSent from my SM-J700T using Tapatalk WayneFleekHoosier, Class of '66 Old Fart, Alford Bailey and 1 other 4 Quote

hoosierdogg Posted January 8, 2017 Posted January 8, 2017 Gave up 51 points in the second half - to Illinois. That is troublesome. MikeRoberts, Class of '66 Old Fart and WayneFleekHoosier 3 Quote

WayneFleekHoosier Posted January 8, 2017 Posted January 8, 2017 Win always better than a loss. But many of the same issues on repeat. We hit shots this time and played 15 minutes of good defense. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners HoosierAloha and MikeRoberts 2 Quote
Scooter D Posted January 8, 2017 Posted January 8, 2017 The first half had to be one of the best that they have played all season. Look what happens when you take care of the ball. Quote
Scooter D Posted January 8, 2017 Posted January 8, 2017 However, 12 TOs is still to many. Whoozhers and Bruce038 2 Quote
cappymo14 Posted January 8, 2017 Posted January 8, 2017 Well played game. Defense much better. Shooting much better. Movement better. Yes we took several 3's but they were mostly wide open and many times, were created by going inside to begin with. Everyone played well as a team tonight. Alford Bailey Posted January 8, 2017 Posted January 8, 2017 Well,I was off. I said we'd hit 15 threes and all would be well. Think we only got 13. Quote

Think we only got 13.That is the recipe and when they go in at 50% iu wins and when they dont they lose. We shall see what they do at maryland but we cant have half of our shots being threes. Its not a sustainable game plan.Sent from my SM-J700T using Tapatalk Quote

recker222000 Posted January 8, 2017 Posted January 8, 2017 But that is the game plan.I know its scary cause you only get so many games against rutgers and illinois.Sent from my SM-J700T using Tapatalk Quote
rebelhoosier848891 Posted January 8, 2017 Posted January 8, 2017 My take: Good win against a decent team. I liked the hot start for a change and it was a good game for us offensively. We played great defense the first half and poor defense the second half. For this team it seems to be all about intensity. When we play with it we are great---when we don't we are average. Nice to see TB play better---and RoJo shooting and scoring better. Blackmon offensively was as awesome as usual--nice stat line. Personally--I'd like to see more Davis and I thought Devonte did a lot of good things that don't show up in the stats. Once again---too many turnovers but most of those came second half when we lost our intensity. We did finish this one off when it counted so maybe we are improving from all the close losses. And finally--- refs---way too many touch fouls! On to the next---for Maryland on the road---we better be focused like we were for the first half of this one. Go Hoosiers----a win sure feels a heck of a lot better than those losses! HoosierAlex 1 Quote
