The fact that we are talking about bubbles in Jan tells us everything we need to know. Fire Mike Woodson.

Looks like he will slot right into right tackle. Looks to be an above average run blocker and a average pass blocker. 6-6, 320

Length of contracts have more to do with recruiting and giving the prospects assurance (rightly or wrongly) that their coach will be there for their career.

It keeps getting drowned out, but I'll keep posting it anyway: Woodson has 2 years left on his contract. If we planned on him being here more than 4 years, we would have already extended him.

Kind of a curious background. Was at Fordham for 2 years and barely played. Transferred UP into the Sun Belt and started from day 1. Huh, don’t hear that one every day. Looks like he had the best game of his career against Cig/JMU in ‘23. 26-36 for 277 with 2 td’s no picks. So the staff and a bunch of the JMU kids have certainly seen him up close.

OSU and MSU combine for 10-45 from 3 and 32 TO’s. Doesn’t get much uglier than that.

I was at the game last night, close to the floor and the guys behind were a little lubed up and getting on the refs most of the second half, officiating wasn't the best in their defense. Any way, at some point Anderson was right in front of us with his back to us and one guy made a comment referring to Anderson as Valentine, and Anderson put both index fingers to his temples and just shook his head, never turned around. I found it pretty hilarious.

Well, playing in an iconic building is cool. How this works!!! Each game I will create a Prediction League thread for the upcoming game. It's a simple concept: Each game you start with 100 points (only if a prediction is made, otherwise 0 points for the game) +25 PTs if you guess the winner -25 PTs if you pick the loser +10 PTs if guess IU score correctly +10 PTs if guess Opponent score correct -The # of points different between the actual and predicted score of IU (over/under doesn't matter) -The # of points different between the actual and predicted score of opponent (over/under doesn't matter) *** Reminder if you post a prediction and want to change it, please just POST a NEW Prediction, do not edit a prior post as I may miss those edits. The person with the most points (MINUS 2 LOWEST GAMES) at the end of the season wins

They are already on the bubble. Probably 8-10 out as of today and don’t have any Q1 wins. By default if they got to 10 wins they are going to have multiple Q1 wins. I would feel very confident as a bracketologist that if they get to 10 wins they will be are the right side. Hypotheticals are nice however not enough information is available making absolutes on if a team gets to a certain number of wins they are in or out. Would have to wait and see what the end of the bubble looks like.

UK obviously didn't get that memo last spring. Then again, they don't run their program like a bunch of teenage girls afraid to wear a new dress to the dance. I have no idea how long they planned on him being here. I think they hoped for at least 4 years, which is why they went with 6 for the contract. I think Buckner wanted an extension after Year 2, but Dolson hadn't seen enough, and that's why he got a raise instead. Regardless, letting a coach go into his last 2 seasons with no clear future kills recruiting. They aren't going to bring him back on just 2 years.

I don’t see any scenario in which Reneau doesn’t start. It took Woody 3 years to sort of give up on mass subs. He’s not moving his leading scorer to the bench off a couple of games. But they can, and absolutely should, create rotations to minimize the 2 big stuff. The guy that lineup is killing is Rice. 1 guy, Hepburn, has been able to stay in front of him all year. You create space for that kid and you’re gonna get good looks all day. But running a high ball screen where he turns the corner and is staring at a clogged lane is wasting what he offers you. And on Leal, and I know I’m being a hater here, guilty as charged, I would be fine if he took every minute of Tucker’s until they’re able to drill into his head that he can impact winning beyond hunting the toughest imaginable 2’s to take. Regardless of his talent, I am not a fan.
