L'ville may come out during the 2nd half and miss a bunch of 3-pointers. IU may come out and play better. But anyone expecting a different IU team overall hasn't been watching the last 3 years. IU basketball is what it is. What else were you expecting? LOL

I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again. Mike Woodson is who he has been his entire coaching career - incredibly mediocre. Some people are ok with it, for reasons only they can understand, while the rest of us can’t wait for him to be gone. You can give him the best talent money can buy, but his lack of coaching acumen will put a hard cap on the team’s potential.

We are so bad on perimeter defense. Hepburn drove right under the basket, collapsed our defense to the inside and just picked from one of 3 guys open on the outside to hit a wide open 3. Louisville has our defense figured out and will continue to throw up 3s all game because we let every single team have a shooter or 2 on the outside waiting to shoot the 3. This team is so poorly coached it’s unreal. Nothing has changed at all. We don’t shoot the 3 and we cannot guard it.

At least IU won that Tennessee exhibition game though

I think effort is underselling the problem. As an example, Louisville has at least 2 players that only want to shoot threes. It's not a secret. On a well coached team, that is drilled into the players before the game until they understand - YOU MUST CLOSE OUT HARD WITH HIGH HANDS ON #93 and #6. MAKE THEM PUT IT ON THE FLOOR. But we close out with hands down and they hit shots, Malik doesn't learn the lesson until his guy has already hit 3 threes. It's not a problem that simply "trying harder" is going to fix. We are poorly coached.

I would hate to see IU play an actual good team. Yikes. All you need to do is watch top 5 teams play and just see how big of gap IU has. Should be a wake up call for some

I hate playing high-volume three-point shooting teams. They could go 10/40 but that means a lot of long rebounds and we kind of suck at rebounding.

I took a break from raking leaves to come inside and check on the game. Think I'll go back outside and rake some more leaves.
