  1. New Indiana repurposed on BTownBanners is lowkey making me despise my Alma mater. And the QAnon references from them. lol. Same group for sure. Gross.

  2. Guys.. Even in this 'venting' style thread, personal attacks and name calling are not allowed. The mods are going to have trouble searching for and hiding every personal attack post because there are so many, but suffice to say, those that continue to do this will be warned and then given consequences. If this warning does not apply to you? It's all good. If it does apply to you? You now have the status.

  3. It's nobody's job to spoon feed you information, or anything, except your IRL caretaker spoon feeding you nourishment. You're just so far out of your depth. I provided confirmation that the Tyme account was using a paid AI tool to amplify their message, by their own admission, it was on their account. You admittedly don't spend time on X, so are largely uninformed about this topic of conversation. You had an extremely weak response when a screenshot was shared and called me a stalker. LoL. "Facts don't care about your feelings" or whatever you and your buddies like to say. Your reference to an insurrection is completely incoherent... and why do you think anyone gives two sh!ts about your "source" or anyone else reading this message board? Lmao.

  4. Because besides Tyme, they aren’t Burners. They aren’t “tied” to some account. It’s a paid OP to try change the image of Mike Woodson by someone who wants to defend Mike Woodson. You can do the semantic trick all you want to defy the truth. It is gross. I don’t even dislike Mike Woodson or necessarily what he is trying to do but the social media presence is beyond annoying. Conflating QAnon into anything IU basketball related is a strange move.

  5. Now you are finally getting there. Particularly with the last sentence. People criticize when you say you are coming to win championships and that Indiana should be playing the big schools and then get absolutely hammered, not just lose, but run off the court, by the big name schools and then fail to make the tournament. Then, the very next year you drop all of those big name games and start gaming the quadrant system. And why? Because of your last sentence. So we are in agreement. This is a mediocre schedule designed to get Woodson the type of wins that are still gimmes but look good plugged into a computer because having Kansas, Arizona, UConn, etc. as guaranteed games didn't work out in his favor the past few years and helped lead him to miss the tournament. I agree Scott. We dumbed it down for Mike this year.

  6. I think we were 1 neutral or road game away from the schedule being decent depending on how scheduling and games play out in Atlantis. Maybe a better home game. But, yes this is a coordinated effort to stack W’s. Woody came out guns blazing and willing to face anyone and it’s been consistently terrible. I’m sure his circle has realized this and reset expected results. It’s makes a lot of sense but it’s also a little sad. It’s not enough for me to be that upset but it will be a storyline by the National media if we take care of business because Woody isn’t their friend.

  8. You aren’t even an Indiana fan Shrek! You expect me to find Paid receipts to a social media operation? You didn’t respond to the Amplifier being used by Tyme that was mentioned yesterday. Call conspiracy BS all you want. I’m wise enough to put 2 and 2 together and iubb Twitter changed when Woodson lost the crowd. Defending/attacking with coordinated messaging. They surged for the transfer portal and have been pushing since. arguing with you is fruitless because you are just a defender and aren’t really looking for truth.

  10. Here’s a groundbreaking thought: schedule better teams and win.

  11. My 2 cents on the schedule. As a bracketologist I understand why you hey did it. As an IU fan that views IU as a program above just being another program I don’t like. This is what it comes down to. If IU is just another middle of the pack power 5 team that hasn’t experienced winning and advancing to the second weekend of the tournament then putting a schedule together that gives you a possibility of playing Arizona and Zags on neutral court as your highlight games then you play the system. Schedule South Carolina as your marquee home game. Destroy the bad teams and handily beat the upgraded mid major teams and you have a working schedule. However if you view the program as special and one of the premier programs you kind have to schedule that way especially after making a big deal about we are IU we will play anybody. Programs that are rolling challenge themselves in the non con. If a coach is confident in his team he will load the non con up and let the chips fall where they lay. IU isn’t quite there as a program to where the staff is confident in their program. The results over the last couple years tell that same story. Not ready to be a upper tier program.

  12. Incredible. Let's schedule games against Little Sisters of the Poor and Indiana School for the Blind. We might beat either by 17 points...

  15. Yup, an interesting example being Darryn Peterson, who signed an NIL deal with Adidas after announcing a final list of KU and 5 Nike schools. He may have them on there, but there’s only 1 school on that list he’s going to.

  17. Would be quite the big fish to land. QB Room with Tom Allen: Sorsby, Jackson, Williams, McKibbin, Purcell QB Room year 1 with CCC: Kurtis Rourke, Jackson, Cherry, Mendoza, Purcell Night and day. In year 2, possibly adding Julian Lewis to the mix? Incomprehensible leap forward in talent at IUFB, if it becomes official.

  18. This schedule works out well if Woodson is able to get his team to blow out the teams they're supposed to blow out. if they have close wins against those teams like they did last year, this schedule will hurt them. If they lose to teams they should beat in addition to not winning by very much against others, it'll really hurt them. If they have more than 2 loses in the non-conference, that won't be good.

  19. He doesn’t really need a Kansas or Arizona on the schedule because there will be plenty of coaches in conference make him look foolish.

  20. The first point tells the story. It's a total setup to help Mediocre Mike get through the season with out embarrassing losses. I guess it's good to see someone admit that in print.

  23. Am I the only one not upset about the schedule release? 3 games in the Battle 4 Atlantis and South Carolina. Good enough for me.

  24. Do I think it is really good schedule no but I don't think it is bad either. I would say it is an average schedule that looks like a lot of power 5 teams schedule. No I don't think we dumb down the schedule because of the coaches abilities.

  25. No. They still wouldn’t of made the tourney

  26. The results sucked. That's different than saying the schedule sucked. The net non-conference SOS last year was 110 I believe.

  30. I'm guessing season ticket holders are p*ssed at this schedule. Not a game on there you can sell for market price. As much as season tickets are these days, might as well save your money and wait to buy off scalpers for a good Big Ten game.

  31. "Dear diary, Today the meanies in the Fire Mike Woodson thread were so harsh on him. They just refuse to see facts because everyone knows there isn't any validity to any way of thinking that's different than mine! I can't wait to make them eat crow when IUBB goes 22-9 and makes a S16! That will really show them!"

  32. Haven’t posted here but enjoy reading, and I’ve been an IU football fan since my earliest days as a toddler in Bloomington. First off, Cignetti is the real thing. I’ve been around him in several settings and he’s extremely bright, highly focused, is personable without being a little over the top like Tom Allen could be, and has a young, enthusiastic staff. We really got it right by hiring him. When he spoke to one of our groups, he said they knew immediately they would have to overhaul the roster, as we couldn’t win with what we had. He didn’t elaborate, but I took it to mean we needed both a talent and attitude change, or the losing would continue. I’ve had some people say that we need to be patient and that’s probably true, but he never once said that. He said the players coming in will all either start or be big contributors, and he doesn’t care if that upsets the returning guys. He said the best guys play and that competition is what they want. They also want fan support. He talked about how much of it they had at James Madison, and that the players and coaches appreciated it very much. Said it was a family atmosphere, including the fans, and he wants that at IU. For the season, I’m predicting 5-7, with the three out of conference games as W’s and MSU and Northwestern as our conference wins. I think we’ll battle throughout and will be close in many of our games though, so we could do better, especially if we stay healthy. Injuries, particularly at quarterback, OL and DL, will be our Achilles. Go Hoosiers.

  33. When I look at the schedule strength I look more at the middle and bottom teams on the schedule. This schedule might not have the elite teams but also don't have many bottom tier teams. It isn't like we are playing a bunch of SWAC or MEAC schools who play all of their non con games on the road. Just look at the Big 12 last year where a lot of their teams scheduled this way. Not only does it help the individual teams metrics but the conference as a whole.

  38. I'm not sure which thread this belongs in, but OMG is that a soft schedule. I'd speculate every single B1G team plays a more interesting/challenging/ANYTHING schedule. All cupcakes, and pretty much all home minus Atlantis....it's simply embarrassing. We're a joke. He's a joke. A fragile little man too scared to play any level of competition. Can't wait for a season full of excuses followed by an extension.

  42. Lol. Burners have infiltrated with illogic reasoning. I don’t love the Boo’ing personally. But it’s a professional sports thing. And Indiana Basketball is a professional sport. If the Coach, program, and players aren’t putting the energy, effort, and performance out that is necessary, you are probably gonna hear some boos. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners
