mdn82 Posted April 27, 2018 Posted April 27, 2018 @ColtsAuthorityI hope Nelson is the best guard in the world. I hope he has a HoF career. He very well might. But OL is the least important position that's not K or P. So improving at OL has, by definition, less impact than improving at literally any other position.^ dumbest tweet I’ve read yet about the draft Sent from my iPhone using BtownBannersWow. mdn82 Posted April 27, 2018 Posted April 27, 2018 As a Bears fan Nelson is who I wanted at 8. Don’t get me wrong I love Smith at 8, but Nelson is coming in as a guy that at worst should be a multi year pro bowl player that will improve your running game and improve your pass protection. He is special. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners BtownBanner6, thebigweave, johnsoniu and 4 others 7 Quote

And is a super quality guy off the field as well. Quote

I mean the Colts paid their star QB 25 million to ride the pine last year because of the continual pummeling the OL allowed him to take. That doesn't make them important at all. TheWatShot Posted April 27, 2018 Posted April 27, 2018 De-valuing the offensive line is why the Colts were dead last in sacks allowed last year and why they've been near the bottom of the league three years running. That said, if the Colts are going to use second round picks on offensive linemen, that line better be an effing wall in the coming years. Quote

TheWatShot Posted April 28, 2018 Posted April 28, 2018 I don't get the people whining about the picks because they aren't "impact" players. Who were the Colts supposed to take at #6, another receiver? Quote
KingPG21 Posted April 28, 2018 Posted April 28, 2018 Nothing flashy, but building youth up front on defense and offense. Hope we land Fred Warner at some point, need another LB thebigweave 1 Quote
