Is anyone else annoyed/concerned that Luck still isn't throwing real footballs 15 months after surgery and the Colts are acting like that's completely normal/acceptable?

This guy is. I am frankly tired of all the games their front office seems to play. I understand being secretive and whatnot and even appreciate it, but how long have we been hearing that everything is A-okay? I’m a PT by trade and understand that there is a process, but this baffles me. Know my theory? I think it was a bad surgery, and apparently, it’s a big secret who his surgeon even was. They never should have left his surgery to chance, and there is NO excuse for not having someone with the reputation of James Andrews (if for some reason he wouldn’t do it) perform it. Andrews was the one who repaired Drew Brees’ labrum when it was obliterated. I can totally see a scenario where the Colts and/or Luck went with someone else, thinking it was a good choice. Why not go with who is proven on a very similar (even probably less complex) surgery. Sorry, this is my soap box, and I don’t understand why no one talks about this and only about how he’s a poor healer, or they haven’t handled his rehab right, blah, blah, blah...

I think Luck deserves plenty of blame, not only for using an inferior surgeon, but also waiting so long to get the surgery done. There was no excuse for playing an entire season with his shoulder in that condition.

Absolutely. I mean, I get trying rehab and encourage people to try it first, obviously, but he was playing for maybe a year with it torn. Who was advising that? Stupid.

They get the benefit of the doubt right now but if Luck is not ready for game 1 then I worry. And if Luck is not back to his old self and they traded out of three when they could have drafted a QB then I will have concerns.

For now they hold all the info and I am not sure we can really judge yet

If anyone here didn't like Josh Allen as an NFL QB prospect already, this article should solidify your opinion

Luck: "There's a timetable for when I'll be able to throw, but I won't share that with you guys."

Why not? Are the Colts afraid of how many season tickets they'll lose if you tell everyone the doctor said you'll never be able to throw again?

Lol. Darnold is the only smart QB pick for them at #1. Allen COULD work somewhere like NYG after sitting behind Eli for a year or two, but he'd end up thrust into the fire too soon in Cleveland.
The Browns definitely don't need Cutler 2.0 in Rosen (though he could definitely succeed somewhere).
Nor can they risk Manziel Part II (even though I don't think Baker will be that, the Browns can't risk it.
If they wanted to really risk it and trade to the middle of the round and take Jackson, I could see him surprising and doing better than some expect. With the Browns insane QB history tho, they can't afford to take the risk.
Gotta play it safe with Darnold.

So I know Stampede Blue has a bad rep due to its comment sections, but they put out some real good content with their articles they write. They're currently breaking down the last ten drafts by the Colts. They did the second round today, its beyond depressing. Coby Fleener is at the top of the list...... and it makes sense

So what is everyone's dream scenario for the Colts first four picks next week? Mine would be:

1 - 6: Nelson

2 - 4: Wynn

2 - 5: Evans

2 - 17: Michel

If the interior of the offensive line in this draft is gonna be this deep then might as well double up and  be good for a decade. Get a LB that is a day 1 starter, and get a RB that I love. Next year's draft class is super deep at edge, this year's is deep at RB, biggest reason I'd pass on Barkley and Chubb. Also Nelson is really freaking good

There is no way we are going to pass on Barkley and Chubb if they are there at 6. Maybe we end up with Nelson at 6, but I would certainly prefer to trade that pick and move down. I see no reason to draft an interior OL at 6, especially in this years draft that could have 4 QB's taken in the top 5-6 picks.

We need a corner, WR, RB, DE, inside OL for sure in the draft.

Probably could also use an ILB, safety as well. Glad we have 9 picks... we need to find some depth.

I have no problem with ending up with Nelson, he seems like a good player... I would just prefer to get him at 8 or 9... and grab like another pick for this year and one for next year for compensation.
