Ian Rapoport:  Trade!  The #Jets acquired the No. 3 overall pick from the #Colts for their No. 6 pick, 37th and 49th overall picks in the 2018 NFL Draft and second-round pick in 2019. Major move.

So probably a top 40 pick next year. Great trade

at least 1 of Chubb/Barkley/Nelson should be there. I'd be ok with any of them.

Would you guys go with Fitzpatrick if only 2 QB are taken? Or trade back again for the next QB hungry team? Good spot to trade back with the Bills imo.

I doubt we'd take Fitzpatrick. We need a CB but I think he's better at Safety and the Colts are pretty strong there. I bet one (maybe 2) of our 2nd rounders is a CB, there's pretty good depth there this year.

Yeah too early for Ward imo due to his size. But he is the best CB option. If Nelson is there and you got those picks, wow. Dude is going to be a beast.

Albert Wilson is a decent slot receiver. Kind of the max of what I would have liked the Bears to pay. Sammie Watkins? Overpay. Butler? Overpay. Do you guys think you would go after Suh?

Just saw this

No. He is fine as a player, but he doesn't fit Ballard's MO. I'd expect more high character, locker room vets with the youth movement he is trying to fast forward right now

The colts have a lot of salary cap space still. I thought they would get more players despite Ballard saying they would build through the draft.

Weren't there some guys we could have gone after that were restricted FA?

Since that has not happened what happens with that salary cap space? Can they accelerate $ for guys already under contract so that we are not struggling to resign them down the road?

It seems that overspending on some FAs is better than not using that so there must be some other options (like accelerating payments to guys like Luck). Anyone have thoughts on what to expect regarding this salary cap space.

There is still the period where guys are gonna get cut. And other things along those lines, could see trades for teams looking to shed more contracts too. Eh, guess I'm not too concerned about it, plan has never been to build through free agency, and we aren't close to contending

I am less worried, just curious. Seems we have an asset (salary cap space) and I wonder how it will be utilized.

Was looking through Twitter tonight and Saquon Barkley is one lucky dude. His GF is pregnant and due soon. She is also gorgeous.

Wish the Colts could have drafted Barkley.

Being a colts fan the past few years has been brutal. Need to figure out what’s up with Luck and hopefully increase talent at about every position.
