Demo Posted January 21, 2024 Posted January 21, 2024 Yeah, that 7th year TE going Miami might be old, but apparently Casey Affleck still has eligibility left to QB at OSU. Quote

Really curious to see if the NCAA decides to still go after him and/or Michigan now. UM getting a title out of that and riding off into the sunset doesn’t sit right with me. Demo Posted January 25, 2024 Posted January 25, 2024 This story is killing me. Apparently won almost 600k over 13 months and still ended up something like 80k down. My favorite part: the kid was so worried about covering his tracks that he slyly named his accounts things like “kayshonboutte7” and “kayshonboutte001” monskisprodigy 1 Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted January 27, 2024 Posted January 27, 2024 Adam Schefter - Michigan has its man: Two days after Jim Harbaugh bolted to the NFL and the Chargers, the national-champion Wolverines promoted offensive coordinator/offensive line coach Sherrone Moore to head coach, school sources tell ESPN. Moore went unbeaten during the four games in which he replaced Harbaugh last season. Now, he replaces him as Michigan’s head coach on a full-time basis. Quote

Class of '66 Old Fart Posted January 30, 2024 Posted January 30, 2024 Pete Thamel - Sources: Can confirm Sports Illustrated report that Tennessee is under NCAA investigation. The investigation is tied to Name Image and Likeness violations. The investigation puts Tennessee in the crosshairs as a repeat violator from recent NCAA ruling in July of 2023 from violations from former coach Jeremy Pruitt’s tenure. Tennessee’s argument in the case will be tied to vagaries in NIL rules. Quote
Lebowski Posted February 1, 2024 Posted February 1, 2024 Former Boston College HC Jeff Hafley takes DC job for the NFL Green Bay Packers. Last night SVP's 1 Big Thing talked about Why the current NIL is unsustainable (Unlimited and unregulated free agency). I think he hit the nail on the head. Especially the deep pockets with old money down south. https://www.espn.com/video/clip/_/id/39434025 Quote

Hovadipo Posted February 9, 2024 Author Posted February 9, 2024 OSU going from status quo (for them, which is a higher level than anyone but like 4 other schools) to "we're going all out trying to win this year" is going to be fascinating to watch. They seriously could 30-piece their entire schedule up to the playoffs. Quote
