Alabama is looking to follow Georgia and exempt NIL from state income tax.  Of course there are also states like Florida with no income tax that also have this advantage.

This is kinda diabolical.  It’s not a ton of money, but I guess to be competitive I hope Indiana does this, we have three big schools in this state that would appreciate it.

Gonna rebrand my salary as NIL so it can be tax free too..

Everyone should call their jobs NIL related…LOL

It’s a slippery slope when one type of job pays no state income tax while all other jobs in that state have to pay (in states with an income tax). Just think of being a garbage collector in Bama paying state income tax while an 18 year old QB gets a million a year tax free. BS.

That's terrible and also a terribly worded tweet. Someone's dreams were cut short cuz they died. For the love of God...

So is this how this works now? I know Luck is an unusual example but I’ve always assumed college GM’s worked for the HC and not vice versa.

I thought that was strange as well. My understanding was that these college "GMs" were to help the HC deal with the portal, NIL and roster construction. Not to fire him.

Isn't there something going with their AD having departed or something? Heard something on XM this morning and it sounded that way but I'm not the best listener.
