Their schedule is just tougher than anyone’s by a mile. But I’d rather TN win tonight to put them as far out of potentially making it as possible. Despite their record, that would be a nightmare matchup for IU to host UGA as a 6 or 7 seed. go iu bb and thebigweave 2 Quote
LIHoosier Posted November 17, 2024 Posted November 17, 2024 well, that'll make the basketball loss a little easier to swallow Quote

They have had a tough schedule but TN is their 5th game against a ranked team and if they lose to them they will be 2-3 against those teams. On the other hand those two wins were Bama and Texas but still…2-3 ? They should win their next two as they finish with UMASS (what a joke that the SEC does that during conference season) and GA Tech. go iu bb 1 Quote
Demo Posted November 17, 2024 Posted November 17, 2024 The player that a fair % of Colts fans tell me Richardson is going to be I think the Norris kid from South Carolina may actually be. Every game that kid just makes dynamic plays and he’s improving at an absurd rate. He did a complete number on Mizzou today. Quote

I was hoping B1G teams before mega-expansion would've went back to 8 conference games and implemented that cuz its a semi-bye week and lets you get a breather before your rivalry game and the conference title game and the bowl game/playoff. With 2 bye weeks now it seems pretty moot; I'd rather have a regular bye week than playing an FCS team or some MAC team and have to either prove a point score wise or have some idiot play hero ball and get themselves or somebody hurt. Hoosierfan2017 Posted November 17, 2024 Posted November 17, 2024 I’d rather see Georgia in the playoff than notre dame, but my personal hot take is that notre dame should be viewed as a G5 school until it joins a conference. Quote
Hovadipo Posted November 17, 2024 Author Posted November 17, 2024 Highly doubt they can weasel a 3-loss UGA team in. Committee is making it clear that they’re watching ball and not just looking at SOS numbers. Going to be too many 2-loss SEC teams to make that work. I think a Kansas win over BYU would be as important as anything tonight. We need a 1-bid Big 12. Quote

As I watch TN beating GA 10-0 (albeit, it’s early)……If TN has an impressive win GA is probably out but does TN jump idle IU ? Quote

Under the current format and rules, they are viewed lower than a G5. ND could be undefeated and ranked #1 in the country and the highest seed they could get would be #5. Quote

Won’t be shocked at all if we get jumped on Tuesday. I don’t think I’ll be too mad as long as we only lose a spot. I’ll be pretty annoyed if BYU sneaks by KU and leap frogs us though. Quote
johnsoniu Posted November 17, 2024 Posted November 17, 2024 Badgers defense managing to hold the Ducks in check so far. But their offense keeps shooting themselves in the foot with stupid penalties. 6-3 Oregon late second quarter Home Jersey 1 Quote

Hard to make an argument against it. BYU jumping is would be lame, but also wouldn’t affect our seed, right? Quote
