Assuming this year isn't a disaster, everything to me screams Cowboys HC next year. Jones would love the show. Dak's in the last year of his deal and Prime's already said he's gonna dictate where his kid lands. Unless McCarthy makes the NFCCG I think he's done.

When all is said and done, being a pro coach just might be Primetime's best bet for success.

It would be fascinating and I would hate it. Football media is already bad enough, but you'd go 12 months without hearing about another team.

Coaching a team his kids/Hunter don’t play on would probably be his best bet because there’s no way the blatant favoritism doesn’t cause riffs in the locker room.

Then again Shedeur and Hunter are pretty good so who knows if Deion would have any success coaching a team without them.

It would be fascinating and I would love it. At its heart sports is entertainment, and nothing could be more entertaining than Deion coaching the Cowboys.

Man, I'm trying to imagine how Boulder would handle that.

I guess I don't see it.  He's excelled at bringing in talent and attention to a college program but doesn't strike me as a guy whose forte as game management.  With the transfer portal he was able to sell players and get a huge upgrade in talent....and they went 1-8 in a Pac 12 that was really down.

I also don't see Shedeur as a guy that teams feel is an absolute need.  I've seen him mocked as the third quarterback taken next year and IMO that's generous.  He's really not all that mobile and the system he's been in under Deion has always been one predicated on quick short throws.  At Jackson State where you would expect a sure fire NFL quarterback to absolute destroy the competition, he was a guy that in two years was at 8.1 and 7.6 yards per pass.  At a college level low major, that's really nothing special.

Did you see him coaching at all after his NFL days were over?

Not sure where to put this but this seems like as good a thread as any. The family of a 5-star ‘26 QB committed to Tennessee is suing in North Carolina because apparently it’s 1 of 11 states in the country that doesn’t allow HS kids to profit from NIL without forfeiting eligibility. My favorite part is that it only applies to public school kids. Private school kids? Profit your a$$es off.

I'm sure that law absolutely wasn't written by a Duke graduate...

This Mich St- Florida Atlantic game is…..awful. A minute into the 2nd qtr and there’ve been combined 3 to’s and a safety. 2-0 MSU.

The game is about to get away from Florida Atlantic as MSU is 3 yards away from going up three scores. Then last year-IU defensive back Philip Dunham jumps a route in the end zone for a Florida Atlantic interception and returns it 60 yards. FAU goes the other 40 yds for a td.

it was about to be 23-3 MSU; instead it’s 16-10 going into the 4th.

Michigan State is horrific. They’ll beat Prairie View A&M and I’m honestly not sure who else. Smith will get them right eventually, but Tucker ran that program into the ground.
