He lost it for, swear to God, TONSILLITIS. What are we doin’? You try yelling 'BLUE 52' with a sore throat Demo and BtownStrength 2 Quote
Demo Posted January 7 Posted January 7 Good. Got to draw a line somewhere. Oh, and apparently LSU is the culprit school here. Imagine that. str8baller 1 Quote

Demo Posted January 7 Posted January 7 Just now, AZ Hoosier said: Lane Kiffin strikes again. Yup, once Chambliss announced he was going back to Ole Miss if he gets a waiver this came together REAL fast. Quote

Aren't they also the favorites for Leavitt? This is so strange. I used to think the NBA was a soap opera for dudes but CFB is approaching that level of drama. Quote

Pagoda Posted January 7 Posted January 7 It would be nice if UW and the B1G can enforce that contract. I doubt it though. There haven't been too many of these cases since the rev share started. There was one last year where some Wisky kid went to Miami and Wisky said they were going to enforce the contract. I don't know where that case stands, but that kid played all this season at Miami. That contract might be different than Demond's, but still. Unfortunately, Demond and LSU's lawyers think the UW contract is unenforceable, so my guess is he goes to LSU and nothing material happens. CFB (the B1G and SEC) probably won't do anything unless it puts their TV ratings and/or attendance at risk. But they need to be careful with stuff like this that annoys 90% of fans. Honestly, what's stopping anyone from doing anything? What if the Miami Hurricanes decided to sign an NFL free agent with eligibility left on a two game contract for the rest of the playoff and he joined the team this week. Who is stopping that? If someone does, they can just go to court and get an injunction and the player can play. I thought the rev share, which is straight up paying players to play would clean up CFB a bit by introducing stronger than contracts than the flimsy NIL ones, but that hasn't happened. Quote

Stuhoo Posted January 7 Posted January 7 A thought: Since Demond Williams' recently signed contract with U Washington is for "Name, Image, and Likeness;" thinly disguised tasks like a million dollars to do a quick advert for some big booster's chain of Toyota dealerships, what's to prevent Williams from adhering to the UW contract terms, and then signing an additional NIL deal with LSU boosters upon portaling? Do these NIL contracts have specific provisions that require attendance at a particular university; are they allowed to have those provisions and still be NIL and not football employment contracts? Legal font of knowledge @HoosierHoopster, any thoughts on this? Quote

It’s like the goal was to make him as unlikeable as humanly possible so the school would view it as good riddance. AKHoosier and Class of '66 Old Fart 1 1 Quote

And thinking about this, I think I'll have to spend a LOT of time. Hours and hours to analyze these issues for you, and ... $$$$. Thanks in advance !! Quote
