Nope.

He may do very well there.  But there are some parallels to Brian Kelly, and Brian had a much better track record when he went there.

It will be very interesting.  Lane obviously some traits that may keep holding him back.

"Coach Kiffin and I met yesterday, and he informed us that he is accepting the head coaching position at another school. For our program to begin preparing for its future – both the short and long term, he will be stepping away from the team immediately."

He essentially says: Don't let the door hit your a$$ on the way out.  ... This sorta cracks me up, considering ESPN and Lane collaborated on a documentary this year in which the main theme was how Lane had finally found what he wanted in Oxford. Money can't buy happiness -- unless you're offered $12M a year, I suppose.

Among the snarky sh-t Lane Kiffin pulls, he releases a statement saying he was denied the opportunity to coach Ole Miss any longer -- despite the players asking the AD to let him take them to the CFP.

He knows damn good and well there's no AD in the country who'd let him stay -- especially when he's going to a conference rival just 300 miles or so away -- yet he tries to portray himself as a martyr because he's being told to get the hell out of Oxford.

Only if Smith is generous. Mel ‘rubbin one out on zoom call with the sexual harassment educator’ mutha Tucker was fired for cause. Documented text message and zoom screen recorded ‘cause’. My guess is they gave him $1M to sign an NDA and go away quietly.

Still, dipping solidly into those RocketMortgage earnings. Smith seemed like a decent enough guy, and a solid coach at Oregon State - where it’s not easy to win. He just inherited the mess that Tucker left.

Haha that's good stuff.  Employees who quit always creates a mess when they've been entrenched for a while.  I've definitely had to walk people out and ship things to their house later.  It's never fun but usually funny lol.  This is a tad over the top, definitely played for the camera.

I guess we’ll see but I’m really not feeling that one at all. He probably did about as well as you can realistically do at NW overall, but they were really bad his last couple of years. You bought Smith out for 30 mil to hire Pat Fitzgerald?
