A loss Friday night might just be the end for Foster.  Tino interim coach?

They have a week off between New Mexico and Northwestern. Wouldn’t think so but stranger things have happened.

If you hire someone for your job that no one else in your industry would hire for their’s, you’re gonna be wrong way more often than you’re gonna be right. Foster wasn’t even getting OC buzz. He was never gonna be a high major HC anywhere else.

This bold phrase sounds awfully familiar around here.  UCLA has never been a football powerhouse, but they are in a recruit rich area who can succeed if the right coach is hired.  That sounds familiar also.

There was a time when UCLA was a fixture in the Top20/25.  That Terry Donahue was a dang fine ball coach.

Foster is looking like a disaster but will UCLA really fire the guy after 15 games?

I’m guessing he will get until the end of the year but who knows…

I just might have to go deep undercover on a Bruin fan forum to see what the "natives" are saying on their coaching situation.

I really doubt they fire an alum after a season and change. After 2 seasons though? You almost have to if it keeps trending this way.

I don't know the details of UCLA's situation but I would have thought they'd score more than 33 points after two games. They've got Maryland, Northwestern and MSU on their schedule so if, and it's a big if, they win against New Mexico and end up with 4 wins does that mean they let go Foster? Maybe they'll turn things around by the time they come to Btown. Because if they do they could potentially be coming in with a 4-3 record.

And there it is, OSU hinting at wanting more of the B1G media rights.

The smaller schools are going to need to band together when this comes up with the new media rights deal in 2030.

OSU AD revenue is already 2x ours and way ahead of most schools.  If they get more media rights the gap will get even bigger and we’ll have little chance to compete.

It's probably only a matter of time before the B1G finds itself in a situation similar to what the ACC had with Clemson and FSU demanding a larger share of the media revenue. Or maybe the next logical step in college football realignment with a new super conference.

Edit: I see @Pagoda beat me to it.

I think in the next 10 years all the super power football programs will form a super league and leave college football

Nevermind. You can definitely fire an alum after a season and change now.

Pretty impressive turnout. If you discount Utah’s crowd were there 10k Bruins fans there?
